Fox will make the team. Jones is one of the token D-men of USA hockey and my guess is these 3 are the leadership team as well. Hence the Jones announcement today and not later.

Just a hunch, but Jack Hughes will be the #2 center replacing Eichel.
Otherwise, that forward group will scare everyone except Canada.

I don't see Hughes touching the ice in the Olympics, unless it's a throw away game vs. China or otherwise.

US has enough offense from the backend and enough PP QBs, that there is zero need for Hughes and his complete lack of any defensive game.

the problem is he's not going to be ready for the olympics if he gets surgery. and lets say he's willing to play for team USA and play through his pain. Buffalo has no obligation or incentive to loan him to team USA. If he goes without their permission his contract can and most likely gets terminated. Buffalo holds all the cards right now

correct, but I'll put them at less than 5% unless he's traded in the next few days. Having a neck/spine surgery and then recovering in time for the olympics? I can't see it happening. It would be a tight timeline. 6 months to a year is the listed timeframe of recovery for either surgery

EDIT: ADR is a 3 month recovery apparently. WHY THE HELL AREN'T THEY LETTING HIM DO THIS SURGERY LOL.
