Like half of the comments I've seen on this sub are so obviously written by non-athletes that it's almost humorous.

When I was in high school (3 year starter for our varsity hockey team) I would get a full-on sprint going and clock the shit outta whoever had the puck. My coaches called me "speedhawk" as a nickname caus I had such a nose for the puck and for those three seasons I was considered the most feared right winger in our conference. Senior year I led my team to the state semifinals only to get f***ed over by the refs in the 3rd but that's another conversation (DM me if you're interested in hearing about it)

So, yeah. I hope yall can understand why I feel like their's such a big disconnect between myself and your typical poster. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way lol

I was one of the pucks on the ice you never touched when you played in high school.

Now that I can hear you whine about it later ...

10/10 totally worth it. Would do again.

I played until Midget and had a certificate to ref up to PeeWee hockey. Needed a police escort out the arena and to my car one Saturday morning.

Found something else to do with my time after that.....

You called yourself a starter but your description was one of a forward. Anyone who plays organized hockey wouldn't call themselves a starter if they played any other position except goal. But you probably already knew that. :naughty:

It's more of a soccer term.

I'm training my son to become a professional MMA fighter. He wanted to become an electrician, but there's no money in that. An MMA fighter can make millions of dollars per year. For example, Floyd "Money" Mayweather has a net worth of over $500 million. So I think I'm taking my son in the right direction.

this organised hockey league you played in? did you play in it while sitting in your basement while slamming back big gulps and holding a small joy stick in your hands?

This is great parenting, James. I raised my two boys to become an NBA point guard and small forward. They got drafted and now play together on the same team under max contracts. I never have to work again in my life thanks to my investment.

They're called NARPs. Non-Athletic Regular People and I've learned the world is literally littered with them.

Whenever they offer an opinion on anything you just say 'sure thing, champ' or 'way to go sport' and they beam with vindication at being recognized
