Sadly for Foster, the most legendary super talented walking core injury Lou ever drafted, the arbitrary rule I made was a player had to actually play in the NHL to make this legendary line-up. (Yes, all these guys in fact did that believe or not.)

Edit: I originally wanted it to be only players who had played on the Devils, but while we have a ton of fun random fringe wingers to choose from, we actually have a dearth of real centers who had the same vibe.

I actually put some thought into the forward lines: fourth line is real chippy, the third line is more defensively sound, and the first line is meaty line that can really score if the opposing team would slow down a little. I couldn’t come up with any washed-out true centers who played on the Devils that fit except Pederson and Danton though. So Cormier and Ketfoot sneak in. (I’m probably forgetting some dudes who actually did played center and assuming they played at wing though, but I gave up, I admit it.)

The defensemen are sorted by lefty/righty and that’s about it. I could have reinstated the Devils-only rule but Van Ryn was such an infamous prick to us I threw him in.
