Who is the guy in the logo?
Did a bunch of research for no reason to figure this out, at first I thought it was Atlas when I found this logo of theirs:

but turns out it's actually a legend named Corgon from Nitra: Corgoň - Wikipedia

Who is the guy in the logo?

It's based on a statue of Corgoň, a metalworker from the city of Nitra. The statue in the city center of Nitra is one where Corgoň is depicted as Atlas.

Corgoň played a crucial role in the defense against the Ottomans in the 1800s, rolling boulders from the castle walls scaring off the Ottoman soldiers and causing them to retreat.

Corgoň also has a beer named after him in Slovakia.

Are team-issued jerseys the same make as game worn or are they a different/lower quality than player issued / game worn?

Team-issued is a a bit ambiguous. What you need to look for with Adidas jerseys is if they're made in Canada, or made in Indonesia. That's the easiest way to tell.

Made in Canada = True authentic, on-ice jerseys
Made in Indonesia = Retail jerseys

True team issued jerseys are the same make as the gamers. They simply were made up for a player (or blank extra stock in rare cases), Steiner (before they went belly up) ended up with all of the team issued reebok edge jerseys which i believe are still being sold on the fanatics site for a reasonable enough price. On the Adidas front I've never seen a blank team issue straight from the Rangers via fanatics but plenty of people over the years have stripped pre season or regular season gamers to make into current roster players.

Things to look for to identify a legit team issue jersey: made in Canada in the collar and no brand tag for reebok edge, reinforced flight strap in the back, double stitched elbows. You rarely see team issued or gamers in sizes less than 56 as well. Not saying that its impossible to find a 54 or a 52 but its very rare. Zuccarello and MSL are the only two that come to mind that wore 54s in recent years.

Any word on how our throw back jersey will look this season ? Seems like a lot of teams have already released theirs

I'd be willing to bet it will be a variation of their winter classic jerseys from 2012 or a remake of the 2010s alternate that says "New York" -- they already did the liberties for the last reverse retro so can't imagine they'll do those again

What about doing a white Liberty, though? That would be bonkers and everyone would go nuts.

Looking for an away shesterkin sweater. Any ideas?
Are you looking for a MiC or indo? The former pop up occasionally, albeit at high prices. Your best bet here would be to buy game-worn/issued of a shitty player, strip & custom.

Indo you just need to buy a blank and send it to be customed. You can buy crappy ones through fanatics or something, but just send it to arena wear and get it done properly.

Was just scrolling the main boards and came across the jersey ads for next season. Has it already been revealed what ad the the Rangers will be running? Any pictures available?

Nothing official yet but it seems like Chase is the logical choice and I honestly think that's the reason they moved on from being a helmet sponsor last year but then the jersey sponsorship was delayed.

I wouldn't be so sure it's Chase. I think the Chase helmet ad was a make-good due to no fans and shortened year for the Covid season and then once they found someone to pony up more money, they went with them for the following seasons and beyond. The Knicks jersey sponsor has been Squarespace since they were introduced in the NBA.

jersey ads, helmet ads....

I hope none of you ever buy a single piece of NHL licensed merchandise again. I certainly will not.

Pfft, I'm refusing to pay for the games in protest. You seen how many ad breaks those things have?

But seriously, who buys licensed gear? Knock-off stuff is heaps cheaper

:naughty:
