No one would care for a European team, I think from the outside you maybe see Europe as an entity.

I dont, yet I also wish for a Team Europe.

I know that Europeans not wanting to unite is whats holding it back.

I dont like Europe vs N America, though.

I like Canada, USA, and Europe.

Number of registered players and number of rinks is also equally split this way, or at least close to equal. Much closer than it is, now - we are asking WAY too much of the European countries to be able to compete evenly with us. Anyone can win a hockey game, but its a bunch of Davids and two Goliaths. And, in truth, both Canada and the US have a lot of varying culture, and even rivalry, in between provinces and states. We arent really that homogenous, either.

Also, Id just simply love to see it, as i would be cheering for the Euros myself. Could be one hell of a team.

But even 2002 doesn't fit your criteria. 8-5 in an All-Star game is a pretty standard score. That's not getting demolished.

They did World vs NA for 5 years, and NA won 3 times.

I always resented that they called them the World Team

I tried to formulate my answer in the way that it wouldn't sound political but failed. I just don't have any even remote wish to see any "Team Europe" on ice. I think this USA-Russia combination would be more logical in the current circumstances.

I'd rather Team USA beat Canada and Europe. We're good on the team up.
