So don't send him down. Put him in the press box and let him be #7. Eminger is SO superior to him. Gilroy can be sent down and if he doesn't pass waivers, big deal. If anyone wanted him, wouldn't he have been signed before his camp tryout? Not worried about losing him.

i dont see why Sather didnt try for Fristic or some available dman. and what do the scouts see in Bickel.. he would have to go through waivers to get sent back to CT and you know the Islanders will claim him and once he is on the Islanders all of the sudden will turn into Ulf Samuelsson

but seriously, he's not satan but he's too absent minded. Rozi can play while knitting his grandmother a scarf and have more alertness, hockey sense and attributes to defend than a Bickel doing his best.

Having that said, this team needs to sit down and talk it out then take it on the ice to practice

Fistric was a healthy scratch for the lowly Oilers tonight.

I think that speaks more of our depth than Fistric if he's a regular in the lineup.

This also hasn't been just two games to start the season. This has been a chronic issue with Stu since last season.

Even Jeff Wowytika didn't look this bad when he played. I mean he made one glaring mistake last season, and he was thrown away.

How the hell is Bickel even in the line up, considering the constant mind farts?

Bickel just shouldn't be more than a 7th D. I don't see why he's in the lineup ahead of Eminger.

As the old song says: Second verse, same as the first. What you see is what you get with Bickel. It's been like this from the beginning. He was adequate for 5-10 games when the defense was really thin last season but most of the time he's a liability on the ice.

Yea Gilly or Eminger need to start wednesday....Bickel is a liability on defense. Theres no way to defend that.

Honestly I think Stralman is very close behind Stu for worst dman thus far. Entire group has had some bad bad moments.

The difference is that we know Stralman is capable of playing better. Bickel always plays like this. He just sucks.

It's frustrating that we are even having this discussion right now, because it was apparent to just about everybody last season that Stu is not a bottom pairing defenseman at the NHL level. This is a personnel issue that should have been addressed.

Eminger would definitely be an upgrade over him, and he's been paired with Del Zotto before. It's well past time for Bickel to take his rightful spot as a healthy scratch.

Guy's been on the team a full calendar year. If Torts hasn't seen it by now, there's no reason to believe Bickel isn't in the lineup Wednesday.

our best defender is mcdonagh. he got roughly 19 minutes of ice time. stu mother ****ing bickel got 14 minutes of ice time. seriously torts what the ****
