That goal ****ing pissed me off. Ruined what would have been a great win for the US.
Nothing wrong with the goal, it just really sucks.
Plus I bet vCash on the US

All teams in all groups have no played two games in the most ridiculous, unbelievable World Cup I've ever seen. :D Over the next four days, two groups will finish play on each day.

New York Times has all the details on all the group scenarios as far as who advances and who wins groups.

Teams who have already advanced

Netherlands
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
Argentina
Belgium

Teams who have been eliminated

Cameroon
Spain
Australia
England
Bosnia and Herzegovina

If USA and Germany don't advance together, it's because they weren't able to come up with an agreement before hand. Both teams advance with a tie.

Group stage ends Thursday, knockout stage begins Saturday.

Best goal call of all time, ever.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Oh mannnn.

Btw, you gotta listen to Arab soccer commentary. Best commentary ever. And it happens every game not just goals as important as Messi's. Lol that may seem a bit contradictory to what I'm about to show.

The guy is screaming Imposssssiblee and dreamss have become realityy after the goal.

Luis Suarez reminds me of Matt Cooke. Just when you think he's "reformed", after coming off an outstanding season, he goes full Luis Suarez again today.

Third time in his career he's bitten someone during game play. Last time he was suspended 8 games for Liverpool. Let's see if FIFA has any balls to suspend him for, at a minimum, the remainder of the World Cup.

The rest of the round of 16 is set.

June 30

France vs. Nigeria
Germany vs. Algeria
(winners play July 4)

July 1

Argentina vs. Switzerland
Belgium vs. United States
(winners play July 5)

Three CONCACAF teams in the next round. Not going to get any easier for Canada in the region I suppose...

Regional breakdown of last 16

UEFA(13 teams) - 6
CONMEBOL(6) - 5
CONCACAF(4) - 3
CAF(5) - 2

Not sure if serious... but my bracket(half gut feeling and half 'homer' picks - I'd like to see a CONCACAF semi):

Brazil
Colombia --> Brazil

France -----> Germany --> Germany -> Deutschland! Mueller MVP!
Germany

Netherlands
Costa Rica -> Costa Rica -> USA

Argentina --> USA

Note the "Go" at the top. Those are the teams I WANT (not think) to win

Pretty much

Seeing the same teams win all the time = boring

To finish the bracket of my hopes though

Uruguay
Algeria

Costa Rica
Belgium

Uruguay
Costa Rica

Costa Rica

Well, since Spain and Italy are eliminated already... the next most recent winners remaining are Brazil and France.

Germany has yet to win since the wall fell, and so other than West Germany... Argentina and Uruguay (a long time ago) are the only teams remaining to have won previously.

Back-to-back Canadian #1 overall picks in the NBA, that's pretty cool.

It would mean more to me if I actually cared about the NBA, but it's cool nonetheless.
