Still 1 period to go...maybe Lardis gets 2more tonight?

Leading 10-2 they probably do not want to rub it in on what is obviously Saginaw's worst gane if the season...still..Lardis may be trying for 80 so maybe he does not let foit off the gas.

Anyway so far 2g 1a for Lardis ...1g 3a for Vanacker ..2g 1a for OBrien who is right up there vying for #3 overall (between humans Desnoyers) in my thoughts on ranking..

OBrien has really been so god in thec2nd half whike others like Hagebsxand Martone have regressedvin play that considering their older age and the younger Jake Obrienand his progress you have got to love the potential ceiling for this kid..

Despite a terrible night so far for Misa hecstill would rank ahead of Obrien ,but Jake is now right up there for consideration in tge #3or#4 overall spot as you gotta live his runway and his size at 6'2 and how much even better he will get as he filksvout his frame..

So even if Hawks draft only #3or#4 Obrien could be a gem anyway...
Especially as he centers for Vanacker ...

Obrien scores...now 11-2...Assisted by Vanacker ..
(his 4th assist to go with 1g)..heand Obrien has it clicking tonight ..3 g 2a for Obrien.

Unusual because Obrien is usually the playmaker ...
.but tonoght shows he can score goals too.
....
So it is over as Brantford wins 11-3 final score.....Lardis 2g 1a+2
Obrien 3g 2a +4
Vanacker 1g 4a +5

Micael Misa had maybevhis worst game of the season with zero points and -3 ...

SurprosibglyvBrabtfordcgotvout-shot...scored 11 giakscon 29 shog...Saginaw had 35 shog..

With the game being such a blowout, the Brantford coach mostly played the 3rd and 4th lines in the 3rd period with his top 2 players (Lardis and Thomas) getting very little time - makes sense to not risk an injury in a blowout - especially when both players reached the milestone they were chasing coming into the game - Lardis with 70 goals and Thomas needing 1 more point to become Brantford/Hamilton's all-time career scorer.

Hage and Artamonov

Those names mean as much at this point as Boisvert.

I was looking through some old draft threads recently and god damn, it's like people on this board refuse to learn from the past. Everyone here was creaming themselves over Wahlstrom. Almost all of you (including you), wanted Wahlstrom over Tkachuk and I'm pretty sure most of you wanted Wahlstrom over Hughes.

Learn your lesson at his point old man. You're projecting kids. It's not science. Boisvert has a lot of NHL qualities. Hopefully he'll continue to develop and make it to the show.

I think that it's fair to be frustrated with decisions that initially don't make sense and time shows they were indeed very poor choices.

At the time, I preferred Hage, but that's MY preference. My preference doesn't mean that selecting Boisvert was egregious. Boisvert is a perfectly reasonable selection and made sense. I don't see how anyone can be mad with that choice except for the sake of being mad.

I think the Seth Jones acquisition is a good example of what I'm talking about: the trade cost and contract was so awful that there was little chance that was ever going to be a win.

I don't see how Boisvert vs Hage (et al) is similar. I think you can make the case for the Gajan pick being unwise, the misuse of picks to blindly move up in the draft as an isssue, but not Boisvert.

Hage and Artamonov

It stings that Canes got Artamonov with the pick we traded to them

Really wish Kyle would have traded a 2025 or 2026 2nd to get back into 2nd round last year to grab him as he slid down rankings

Canes got steal at #50

His season as 19 yr old in KHL

58 games
21 goals
16 assists
37 pts

Going to be a star in Carolina in a few years
