just curious what you guys think Rockford is going to look like next year? With the assumption of Levshunov and Korchinski moving up/staying at the NHL level, would Lardis, Moore, Rinzel and Greene be the headliners at Rockford?

It's looking more and more like Murphy is going to be back next year. With his injury history, I don't think a team is going to trade for him at this point so with Crevier likely to be kept, Levshunov will likely begin the season in Rockford next year but will then probably be called up when Murphy inevitably gets hurt again.

The Blackhawks literally have to spend on FAs next year to get to the cap floor so I'm guessing they sign at least 2 forwards to go with the 10 forwards they already have under contract on the roster today for next year. (Dach included in that)

If Anderson sticks around as a plug, Guttman probably comes back to play in Rockford with Lardis, Moore, Rinzel, and Greene. Savoie is probably back and hopefully Hayes and Ludwinski take a step forward. Also don't forget about Thompson, James, and Misiak. We'll see what they do with AHL vets but they're probably going to want a few to stick around with all the kids. But it could look something like this down there to begin the season:

I'd think it's more likely that Guttman leaves than comes back. He's not going to get games with the Hawks, even as a depth piece, as they try to get young players icetime in the NHL. Even though the Hawks are one of the worst teams in the league, they'll be prioritizing development of younger players. Guttman's likely to sign with a team where he'll at least get a shot in the NHL if he's earned it IMO.

Definitely expect Del Mastro/Allan/Korch beside Lev in that spot on top pair

Just not enough LHD spots on Chicago D for all these guys next year with RHD likely being Jones (or maybe take back a D with term if he gets dealt), Murphy and Crevier on the right with Vlasic on the left and Brodie as the warm body as number 7

Only two of those guys will be on the team the other top pair in Rockford

I don't think the Hawks will do it and I don't think Brodie will do it either. He's got a family. You think he wants to spend all that time traveling and not playing when he could make two thirds of it and pursue something else with his time/life? I don't.

Ultimately no but I don't think the Hawks are going to even have to worry about feeling bad is my point. I don't think Brodie would want to play out a year being the 7th D, even if it means he makes an extra 1.2M (or whatever the figure is).

I believe I saw there was a recent Sun-Tines article that KD was keeping in touch with Kantserov and SAFONOV.....but only the first few pararagraphs were visible..rest behind a pay wall..so do not know what most of the article said.

Safonov I checked has been out if the Akbar lineup since an I jury infantry 8th.
But prior to that had 3g 4a in his

Moore at left wing is this more based on his size? I heard he had improved his FO% to 50% at Minnesota. Would Gajan be brought in to backup Commesso?

Wonder if KD will go after any NCAa free agent players who either are seniors inflation year before turning pro if they getcan offer or leave school after this their JR. (3rd year) season?

Of course IF Ryan Greene turns pro, Hawks will sign their draftee.
But MAYBE after his tremendous season also I his s Jr Year at B.U. I note that Quinn Hutson (RW) listed at 5'11 176 ..but maybe bigger now?.....could be a target for many NHL teams ...could KD and the Hawks be interested?
He of course is the older brother of LanecHutson(Montreal-NHL) and Cole Hutson (at B.U. butvdrafted by Washington) and of the 4th Hutson brother ,Lars...
unlike Lane and Cole who are dmen,Quinn is a forward..highly skilled but also rtocks the explosive speed box KD said he wants too target in players...

Hutson is already 23 years old ...so more of a mature product already...

Yes lots of nhl teams probably interested in him if he leaves school after this season.
Maybe hexwoukd choose Montreal or Washington of they offered him a contract for a chance to play with 1 of his brothers?

I didn't put that much thought into who plays where. Maybe Moore flops with Thompson or Guttman? I had Moore there because I'd like him to get top 6 minutes and Greene profiles as more of a center than he does.

Given Gajan's struggles and injury, I'd think he stays in college. I don't see much reason to bring him to the pros but I guess I wouldn't hate it.

He will likely be a Group 6 Unrestricted Free Agent

1) At least 25 years of age as of June 30th (Yes, turns 26 on April 30, 2025)
2) Less than 80 career NHL games (41 NHL GP to date, the Blackhawks have less than 39 games remaining in season)
3) At least 3 Professional Seasons, which for a player 20 or older as September 15th of the season. 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 would all be counted as professional seasons.

Unless I'm missing something, he's a UFA this summer.

If Rinzel is going to be sent to the AHL he might choose to come back to the Gophers. No one wants to play in the AHL and he saw first hand from Faber and Lacombe that it's not necessary with the right seasoning in college.
