On flip side both Hayes and Ludwinski have had terrible starts to pro careers
Good news is they are both only 20 years old but the jump from OHL to AHL has proven difficult for them
It was that he produced. Most of us don't have the luxury of watching these guys and all we have is checking numbers on Hockeydb.com. If a guy is scoring, that means he's got a ton of potential despite any flaws in his game that don't show up in the box score.I've never got the love for Gavin Hayes, don't see NHL quality there at all.
My problem with the whole Boisvert thing is trading up 2 spots when they probably didn't have to. He's a good prospect and I like him over Moore, actually.Musto moves the overton window around here more than people care to admit and more than he should.

Yeah I won't complain.Key word being probably, if he lands at his ceiling it was 100% the right move.
My guess is they were hoping Jett or NBM made it to 18. but it did not go that way. 17-21 were probably the next tier of prospect. Boisvert eiserman, hage, connelly parascak. I heard they were high on Jett from somebody. My problem with the whole Boisvert thing is trading up 2 spots when they probably didn't have to. In my viewings of Rockford, I actually have been pretty impressed with Hayes. His skating seems to have improved, and I was surprised to see a bit of jam to his game. He is playing down in the lineup, and hasn't produced a ton so far, but I would not write him off yet.I've never got the love for Gavin Hayes, don't see NHL quality there at all.
It would have to improve even more if he wants a regular role in the NHL. I could see him as a grinder at most in the NHL on a crap team, but not much more than that.In my viewings of Rockford, I actually have been pretty impressed with Hayes. Who gives a f*** if he ends up hitting his potential? My problem with the whole Boisvert thing is trading up 2 spots when they probably didn't have to. He's a good prospect and I like him over Moore, actually.
