It's honestly incredible how rapidly Rinzel has developed the past 2 years. I can guarantee even the Hawks brass didn't think he would be at this point already. Probably had him ticketed for 3 maybe all 4 years of college. Now you can arguably say he might be ready for Rockford next year.

As to Ronzel...no question he has developed faster than Hawks brass originally thought...they said has the tools justcraw..but now after 2 collegiate seasons he is one of tge top dmen in the ncaa..
Maybe okay hom 1 more seson in school at Minnesota...But his decision to stay or turn pro afterthis his Sophomore sesdon coukd depend on who Minnesota loses ofc the team after this season.. if The loses of key players too great then Rinzel may think a younger team withca lotvofvibcomong freshmen will not Dowell next sesson..in that case best forchom either to keep developing in Rockford OR use the transfer portal to join top contender for an NCAA ChMpionshio run if he wants to play his Junior year in the NCAA....

Another year at Minny won't move the needle much for Rinzel, especially offensively. He has some things he'll need to clean-up in his own zone but that's best served in the AHL.

Another guy that's been on fire is Aidan Thompson 14 GP 10 G 12 A 22PTS he's 22 years old but still looks promising to at the very least be a solid 4th liner .

What an unreal pass by Pridham. You can see what the Hawks scouts saw in him playing with less than stellar BCHL talent.
#2 Ty Henry (another Hawks pick) also got a good look at that pass too.
Honest question here not trying to be a smart ass. How does points production for a 180 lb 22 year old in college lead to a 4th liner? Don't you want your 4th liners to be bigger, grindier guys who kill penalties?
I have no idea what his motor is or if he has good defensive instincts but isn't it more likely that he, or any high scoring light 22 year old in college, either becomes a top 9 guy in the NHL or top 6 guy in AHL/Europe than a 4th liner in the NHL?

I'm taking the high road moving forward.
Not so much this season in part since Celebrini and Lane Hutson have left the BU program. What little I've seen, Greene is basically the same player as last season. If he signs, he may get a lot of games as BU is not close to making the NCAA tournament. Their struggles are due to being one of the most penalized teams in the NCAA and having one of the worst PK's. Not a good combo especially considering Jay Pandolfo is their head coach.
Edit: BU plays Merrimack this Friday at 8 am Central in Belfast Ireland. Could be decent post food coma viewing on ESPN+ if one has a day off.

Great start to the year for him. He pounds pucks on the PP.
Impressive early returns on Boisvert, Lardis, Spellacy, Kantserov, Pridham, Aiden Thompson.
I'd say they're all showing very good signs especially compared to draft position.
Vanacker is yet to come as well, with very high hopes. Nazar obviously doing really well. Moore is the one that's lagging a little, bit it's very very early and he has a high floor.
I don't think our forward group is as weak as some say. Yes we need clear top line/top 6 players but this is a lot of guys showing great things for the middle six. Plus you can't realistically expect top line prospects when drafting outside the top 10 anyway.
I'm excited to see who develops further into top 6 from the guys above. Adding 1 or 2 legit top line blue chip forwards in the next two years will round out the pool very nicely.

Boisvert has looked great. As someone who had never previously watched him play, The Negative Nellies seem very off in their assessment.

Good news is they are both only 20 years old but the jump from OHL to AHL has proven difficult for them
