You take Patrick, get it wrong and move on. It sucks but everyone was wrong and you played the odds. Better that than being wrong betting on the low percentage. Because that way you’ll be wrong more often.
You act like there's a massive difference in the odds between the picks you're talking about. There's not. That's just not how it works. They are all low percentage after a certain point.

You know this is how cheap organizations run and it does not result in things. Like, relying on non-staffed scouts opinions as if they are the ultimate judgers, is not some slam dunk like you're acting. It's really putting this assumption on, these are the consensus right picks... based on a bad premise.

If Lev/Demidov becomes a Makar/Patrick, I’ll be the happiest. But until proven otherwise, I am expecting
Maybe, maybe not. We’ll see but unfortunately I think most people would put their money on Demidov having the better career. I really hope most people are wrong and don’t think I’ll be rooting for Demidov to prove my point. I’ll be the happiest if Levshunov comes out on top.
I’m not saying that they should follow the mass and make their decisions based upon that. What I’m saying is that from an external point of view, it worries me that their evaluation differs from what the majority of the experts see.
there was some rumors the the Russian scout and KD were higher on DEMI then Lev but all the other scouts were higher on LEV then Demi probably mostly because they saw him live. my question is not about if LEV will be good. I think his natural talents will make him a NHL player. Just feel like his easy going makeup means he is going to be more of a middle pairing guy Compared to a ultra competitive type. keith Teows ETC. at #2 I want someone with more of killer instinct. I think Lev turns out to be jones level D. not a #1 maybe a 2/3 type.
Not saying he isn’t an a great prospect, but the average 5/6 NHL defenseman gums up that rush at the line.

I'd like to see Kantserov play with Yurov as his center with Mikhailis on the other wing. He's played with Zernov as his center last season and this season but Zernov isn't playing as well as he did last season and it almost seems like he's pressing and trying to do too much which results in not using his wingers as well as he did last season. I doubt the coach makes that change because they're winning but I'd like to see it at some point.

Our prospects have had a ton of success. In College, In WJC as you say, in their leagues like Kantserov. The only losers we have are on the NHL roster.

Kantserov was a steal in round 2 of his draft...
2 of his 3a today wre primary ones..
Now is at a point acgame pace..
11g 12a in just 22GP
Leading scorer in KHL has 42cpoints in 36 GP...
2 other guys tied with 42 poibts playing 42 Games ..
So if hehad also played 42 games at his point a game pace he woukd bectied with these 3 as liintbleaders or if you allow the player who only played 36 games to havec6 more games ,Kantserov woukd be tied forc2nd in KHL scoring ...yet being the youngest at only age 20.
As I said...steal in the 2nd round of his draft .

Hagens of course had a very good WJC-u20 ...5g 4a +9 in 7GP..but given featured 1st line opportunity playing with Leonard and Perrault..
Moore used as a winger on 2nd line produced only 1g +42a
But differing roles....so I wonder IF Moore was given 2st line C duties between Leonard and Perfault what level of pints could he have produced.. maybe same as Hagens or close?
In the NCAA Moore has 5g 12a =17 pts +9 in 20GP
In the NCAA Hagens has 5g 15a =20 pts +15 in just 16GP..but he again plays Center for Leonard and Perraukt at Boston College..
Wonder what he would have if in Minnesota and not always on their top linexas the xae with Moore?
Of course Hagens is younger....2925 being his draft year ..but I am just wondering if Moore would be considered differently if given a more featured top line role with 2 star wingers like Hagens gets?
The impression I get on Moore though is that the eye test shows given the chances hisxsoeed gives himat rushes to the net he fails to convert on too many golden scoring chances ..his hands and shot just seem kind of average..
Whereas in the thexWJC you saw Hagens with great hands to convert close in to the net and from net scrums..
Still I wonder what Moorexwoukdvhavevoutvup if he got the same role as Hagens between Leonard and Perrault..

Moore seems like trying to be solo hero while Hagens plays smart letting his talented wingers provide chances for him if he just goes to the net or hangs out there ..
So you wonder if Moore would change his habits and go from solo hero attempts and one and dones to a more connective game with his wingers?
I do not know..but it is an interesting thought scenario...is Moore hampered by less than optimum featured role or will he continue beibg more 1 and done solo guy? Can he slow down and play a bit more strategically if he had better linemates?
Is he a top 2 line C or winger or only a bottom 2 line solo type?
If you have elite speed like Moore ,where are the push back the D controlled zone entries with the drop pass to a trailer or more 2 on1s..it seems like Moore more often is breaking in on goal alone and not enough of these chances does he convert.

I wonder what he did or said? My onhockey.tv stream was so glitchy in the first 2 periods I couldn't watch it so I didn't see the incident. It was back to normal in the 3rd so I was able to watch the 3rd and OT so I saw both his primary assists on the game tying goal late in the 3rd and OT winner.
I know I'm repeating myself - but when I watch him play I'm just as impressed with his quickness and smarts as his scoring - fantastic player.

Kantserov is third in points per game in the ENTIRE KHL. Obviously a small size but the KHL aint a super high scoring league so being a ppg is very impressive regardless
Long write up, but Moore and Hagens are in two completely different levels of hockey player. All the hypotheticals won't change that.

Nobody else on his team is even close to PPG as well. Up to 2nd on team in points despite all that missed time to begin the season.
