Not twisted about it just making commentary. A year out and while there were some good picks in there so far like you mentioned, there were some dumb throw aways, too. Carolina was a couple picks behind us most picks and mopped up.

Was really just discussing guys who got overdrafted due to small sample size stuff, like Gajan from his four starts at the WJC or Misiak for a USHL playoff run at 18.5 years old. Or Marcel who played at WJC but did nothing in the Q but had another decent playoffs.

Rykov after Pharand.
Perron after Felcman.
Felix Unger Sorum after Misiak
Legault after Marcel

I would trade every prospect they picked for who we picked.
Carolina is such a strong drafting team it hurts. People were complaining about the lower quality of prospects they gave up for Guentzel but the guys they gave up would have been right up near the top of our prospect pool

Looks like I was wrong on Kayumov's chances to finally come over this summer: despite all the rumors he just signed a 3-year extension in the KHL.

Upd.: if the reports are right, he was just offered too much money to say no.

He likely doesn't move the needle either way so good for him on getting paid.

Yeah, to be fair I don't believe in him being a full-time NHLer anyway, therefore unlikely he'd get a great paycheck anyway, but sounds like Lokomotiv really offered him salary of a KHL star caliber (while he obviously isn't a star even there). So it made too much sense for him to agree, especially since he is experienced enough to be realistic about his abilities.

Do you think they overpaid him a bit because they thought there was a legit chance he was going to try NA?

Bedard right shot center with Demidov left shot right wing not an ideal combo. Still would require a big body on the other side.

After Celibrini, there’s no consensus. We’re going to have some happy posters, and some disappointed ones. Have to say that I find it impossible to know who the Hawks should pick at 2-5.

Err, what?

kantersov on 1LW again

OHL coaches poll Ludwinski 2nd best skater, Lardis 2nd best Goal scorer

I like Ludwinski and he's definitely a good skater - but Lardis is next level so it's a little weird Lardis wasn't selected for his skating too. Lardis' first step burst and straight line speed are every bit as elite as Oliver Moore's.

I really like this kid. Powers thought he would go back to juniors next year.

Yeah I think he will and should. He needs to bulk up a bit - he's a great athlete but he's lean and will not have the weight to hold his own in the NHL. And for all the goodness he provides on offense, he can be less so on defense - like the pizza he served up to a 67's player right in the slot which turned into Ottawa's first goal yesterday.

Regarding Vertical Jump and long jump.... Really does NOT speak to strength.... Vertical/Long jump tests really speak to Fast muscle twitch and SPEED!!!! Which is more important in Hockey and Basketball for example.
Found Ian Mack’s burner?

So Ludwinski and Kingston on the ropes down 3-1 in their series with North Bay...

Lardis and Brantford are down 2 -1in their series with Ottawa..

If Ludwinski and Lardos do not advance into 2ndcround of the OHL Eastern Conference they will be with Hawks or in Rockford within the next few days ...

Gavin Hayes and Sault Ste.Marie advance to the 2nd round of playoffs in the OHL Western Confetence.

The Hawks may not have room on the roster and do not know if Rockford can fit them into AHL roster limit or if they are added in time for
AHL playoffs eligibility?

Also do not know if rosters are expanded in AHL playoffs or not ...or whether they still have a deadline to be on the roster to be able to play in playoffs in the AHL.

Perhaps some poster can clarify these roster issues and scenario to maybe see Ludwinsku and Lardis in either a Hawks uniform or with Rockford if they join with games still remaining in Hawks or Hogs regular season schedule.

Well of course...tge Maple Leafs signed Jacob Quillen (C) who turns pro after hisxJunuorcseason finished at Quinnipiac..

His linemate Colin Graf is one of the other big prizes out there as NVAA free agents ...He too turns pro leaving school after his Junior year..

I wanted both forctge Hawks but it looks like severlbNHL teams including PITt ,MINN and Boston are rumored to be teams hevis considering signing with.

Otger NHL teans lije Toronto Dallas Boston Florida and others not bottom feeders have already picked soneof the best NCAA free agents .. Hawks idle or not a desired team to sign with for some reason(you would figure Hawkschave great opprtunity for these top free agebtscto grab a spot considering how many roster spits Hawks will have open...but I guess the better teams are looking for a gem to add cheap for an ELC deal to help their cap..

I still woukd like Hawk to sign big Cornell C Gabriel Seger.howrver do not know if he wabtto play pro hockey.. he apparently is a top student graduating in electrical engineering abd heviscakteadyc24..

But if hexwabts tivuivectgevorisxaxtry I do nit see why Hawksxwoukd not want to add a 6'4 210 lb C who is a top face off guy ,good defensively and over a pining a game guy and one of tge best offebsive producers in Cornell hockey history.

Maybe being competent visn't good enough for the Hawks..No ibstead they go with nothing burgers like Ebtwhistle ...

Either KD just sat on his hands or he is ober confident Hawks vaunted pipelinevof forwards is so much better than tge NCAA free agent crop that he just did not go hard after any free agent..

Eitger that or tgey choose to join winnibg organizations over bottom feeders struggling to improve.

Ludwinski is still 19 and Lardis is 18 - I don't think either is eligible to play in the AHL this season.
