All-Purpose Non-WWE Discussion Thread: NWA, IMPACT, AAA, and MLW, etc

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
It's interesting that Indi is still able to use that name.
Apparently everyone joining the company gets their name copyrighted while they're there but the copyright is removed after they leave and they can ncontinue to use their talent name.

Via Reddit:

Alvarez said, "I was told that these new TKO deals are such that when you go to WWE, they are going to trademark everything. For example, Ethan Page went and they trademarked Ethan Page. This is from someone in the company, when you leave they hand everything over to you now."
Alvarez continued, "Apparently when you leave WWE, and it's kind of the same thing I think with AEW, it's like she [Vaquer] can leave and take her name. Ethan Page can leave and take his name. While you're there, they own the rights to everything for pro wrestling. But that is a very big change from back in the day when they owned you into perpetuity. She very much wanted to keep her name and apparently, they're allowing her to keep the name in WWE. They're gonna trademark it while she's there..."

Also, I think Indi's one of those people that they'll gladly welcome back, if she improves.

I didn't think Indi was using that name when she joined, she also joined before TKO so her contract would have been different.

Yeah but it seems like it doesn't matter when they signed. It's just the policy now. And like I said, HHH probably likes her "too much" to make her attempt at potentially coming back any harder.

TNA Sacrifice was pretty nice for one of their B PPVs and without a world title match on it. Ali and Santana was great and I had fun with one cage war games.

Chavo wrestling next week. Hey, he's not far off in age from Jericho (1 month older), Edge and Christian...

Leon Slater has been getting some time on the mic and is not half bad, has kind of a British youngboi thing. I think he would fit in great in WWE (and of course AEW loves the nuclear athleticism guys though they might just stick him in the endless Top Flight vs Lio and Andretti).
