Coachman has been kind of a bullshitter since he's still bitter about WWE kicking him to the curb a second time, but what he says here might have a bit of merit to it.

We already saw signs of a power struggle last year when The Rock tried to stick his nose into the main event of WrestleMania clearly against Triple H's design given his meddling nearly totally blew up a nearly 2 year storyline. I would wager a good amount of the stuff we've seen with the lousy WM41 main event and Rock deciding he was done with his new toy was probably at least partially against Hunter's wishes. Hunter has his flaws as a booker but he's not that airheaded.

And unlike when he kinda won out against Vince, he's not winning a fight with TKO. They're a soulless corporation that sucks the last dime out of their ventures that cares not for things like fan expectations, roster morale or anything rational. Look at the UFC from when it exploded in popularity and compare it to the soulless husk it is now. If Hunter steps out of line, he's gone. Likely with his wife too.

Most important blip in this has Meltzer talking about the continued corporatization;

"I expect ads on ring gear soon. If there’s blank space on screen, TKO wants to monetize it. TKO’s business is to sell sponsorships. That’s their real priority now. We’ve already got sponsored matches, sponsored segments, they'll put logos anywhere"

And then as a sorta-joke;

"It’s going to be even more intense. They’re trying to turn every frame of WWE content into an ad vehicle. If they could sell a sponsorship for the pyro, they would.”
