On top of the outrageous Mania tix prices

Those prices are exorbitant.

Jesus.

I'd never ever pay to meet anyone. You're likely to see some of these people roaming around Vegas, haha.

New Orleans was insane, we saw so many wrestlers out and about.

What we’re seeing here happened to the UFC once WME-IMG took over. They jacked the prices up exorbitantly.

I went to UFC 205 in Cleveland and my tix for the upper bowl were around $200. Fast forward a couple years and the same level tix were around $800 in Columbus for a freaking fight night. It’s straight up price gouging.

I looked to see how many tickets are still for WM are there are a ton + it looks like they finally dropped the prices because it is far from sold out.

That’s what they are for a typical concert :dunno:
I’m considering VIP tickets to see 311 in Nashville in August and they range $500-900. The $500 is just a pic with the band (ticket included)

I enjoy seeing these "VIP" tickets for a concert go unsold then magically a week or two before the concert they become regular tickets. It's how I sat second row for The Smashing Pumpkins. In general there many concerts this year I may attend but they got too greedy with prices and given the amount of available tickets I'm not the only one waiting it out. It took a couple years post-covid for people to finally draw a line in the sand but it's happening this year. There are some artists that if you really want to see them then you suck it up but those artists are limited.

Mania was trending to be the lowest attended one in 20 years. They will keep lowering prices until they find the price point people are willing to pay. I'm confident it will end up being sold out or close to it.

I mean talking about past events, maybe around the time that he left WWE? I've seen ESPN promoting a clip with him talking about it (haven't watched it yet)? Sort of like "you were married to HHH back then.."

Edit: this one:

Edit2: full quote is "you were married to someone I had a contentious relationship with" and they're talking about him leaving WWE. Seem's it's partly kayfabe. So that quote is taken out of context and made into clickbait.

So apparently the transcript says "are", not "were":

CM Punk: "Everything else is the easy way out, and I don’t think you learn anything and I don’t think you grow. There was no reward without the risk, you know, and fortune favors the bold. The flip side to that is that you fall on your face a lot and I think the older and the wiser you get, that a lot of things are just on the job training. When are you ever ready to do anything? Were you ready to be a mom?"

Stephanie McMahon: "Nope, scared to death the whole time."

CM Punk: "Yeah. The more frequently I’ve applied that in my life – 'This is terrifying.' Just do it. You have to try new and different things, and you’ll never know what’s going to happen. It’s fascinating for me to sit here and talk to you about this because you’re married to someone I had a contentious relationship with."

At the end of the day, we can all complain about the prices, but they're set at that rate because people will pay them.

Part of the problem is stadiums and arenas are built at the same capacity over the last 50 years, but the world population has doubled. Another big part is the increase in demand for "Experiences", which can likely be traced back to people's need to look good for social media.
