And who he works makes it very clear who he wants to work…

Punk isn’t putting himself in a position where he has to sell Orange Cassidy’s dumb bullshit because he actually wants to be taken seriously.
Punk will get to Orange when they get there. You’ve already committed to hating it so why are you whining about it not happening? You sound like a Flyers fan.

Considering the timing of the signing which ex wwe wrestlers where the right call for AEW to sign?

Chris Jericho
Jon Moxley
FTR
Bryan Danielson
CM Punk
And now Sasha Banks potentially?

I think those are the for sure you sign and everyone else is debatable. I don’t think I’m missing anyone to obvious? Thoughts?

Sasha would actually be one of the ex-WWE signings that actually makes sense amongst the bunch there was no need for.
I think Sasha Banks sucks as a character/promo and despite a few great matches is mostly forgettable in the ring.

However, she does have appeal and she does have a huge dedicated following. She would be a huge get.

She's going to get a massive payday. I don't think that Sasha has been great or motivated for a long time. Listening to reports she's also a bit of a toxic personality.

But AEW needs main event help in their woman's division.

There's a lot of things that I know people question about her. Dedication to her craft isn't one of them.

100% - I'm not the biggest Sasha fan. I think she's arrogant as hell, and honestly kind of an asshole (at least thats the vibe i got when i saw her interacting at axxess)

She is 100% as dedicated to her craft as they come, perhaps the most, honestly.

But will she get a massive payday? Has she burned her bridges in WWE? If so TK would be foolish to give her huge money, since he is bidding against himself basically

I think he should bring her in for sure, but huge money would be silly considering where else she can go

Yeah I think that stems from her concerns from people stalking her at airports, and having people like Cody and Bully Ray say how that's supposed to be good, but it's something they never got square. She interacts(ed) with people online but in-person was something she was never comfortable with, at least early - but they kept sending her and she kept doing them.

There was a story once that when Vince was putting the kibosh on talent having streaming channels (outside of UUDD), that she was one of the ones who went to him about it, and she doesn't even have a channel. I think that was specifically around AJ.

I'd probably throw out guys like Jericho, Mox and even FTR who were pretty much there from day 1. I'd be looking more at people who were released while it was already up and running. Even Punk was out of wrestling for 7 years and probably wasn't coming back if AEW didn't exist.

So with that being said I'd say Danielson and Adam Cole were definitely no brainers. And probably Toni Storm on the womens side since that division was/is so weak. Banks would be another.

For some of the debatable ones; I thought Keith Lee was a no brainer initially but they haven't done much with him. In relation to Lee I could have done without Swerve, for example.

Sasha is one of the best to ever do it. Period. Barring a massive pay day I doubt she goes to AEW as her interest seems to be expanding her brand into mainstream stuff. AEW's women's division is too small time for her

If wrestling is still her number one priority I imagine she will spend some time in Japan as it's something she has said multiple times she wants to do.

Not convinced unless the money is absurd. She is a bigger star then every other woman on that roster combined.
Exactly. They would give her the chance to run that division and she will likely have the freedom to do some Japan if she wants to. I imagine the money would pretty damn good too.

They would have to be willing to put multiple lengthy women's segments on TV.

Tony has never come across as interested in women's wrestling to tye point where it's the top attraction.

Sasha Banks would never go to waste time on a youtube show

That is wrong. They’re not doing that with Thunder Rosa but they have with Britt Baker. The big issue is that they don’t have the roster but Sasha would help the womens divison.

Apparently the WWE board started investigating the Vince thing in April.

... Just in case anybody was wondering if Stephanie's leave was connected at all.

Banks isn't great by any stretch but AEW could still benefit from signing her to bolster that division. Would be a much better signing than a lot of the former WWE people. I do like that wrestlers have a lot more career mobility now.
