Most of my Saturday has been spent streaming Wrestlers on Netflix. Back in the day I was an Al Snow mark. Met him in East Lansing years ago when I was buying Raw/Heat taping tickets. It was too bad he could not carry his ECW success over to WWF. At one point in the series he talks about bad booking and not standing up for himself.

As for the series it chronicles Ohio Valley Wresting and the talent trying to make it big.

Punk to WWE is one of those weird things... Like, they've got a bunch of young kids that you wouldn't want around a guy with the attitude Punk has been portrayed to have. But at the same time, do you really anticipate Punk to have those issues in WWE?

His "Problem" seemed to be idiot kids who thought they were too good to be told anything and wanted to do stupid shit, while the company had no control to tell them no. You don't really have that in WWE. Guys know their place, are professional, and aren't doing dumb shit.

I don't buy it. What's the over/under on a Punk and Riddle kerfuffle?

I wouldn't be surprised if Riddle doesn't make it to the end of Punk's no-compete lol. He's had multiple moments of bad press since going to rehab less than a year ago. Wouldn't surprise me if they're just waiting for all the facts to come out on this latest issue so they don't release somebody on the extremely outside chance that he was actually sexually assaulted, and not just an intoxicated mess.

Either way, WWE has adults that actually handle the talent instead of a man-child who can't say no to all his buddies. So Riddle shouldn't ever become Punk's problem to handle like things were in AEW. That was kinda the point of my original post.

Ehh, I agree and disagree.

Dana has to distance himself from WWE and pro wrestling because to associate himself with it would open the door to question the integrity of UFC's product. (Real vs. fake)

From an athletics standpoint, they're two opposite animals, as he said. One is real, one is scripted. Yes, you have to be in great shape in WWE (Even the "Fat" guys could run circles around most of us) but it's still pre-determined, nonetheless.

From an entertainment standpoint, you can't deny that the biggest personalities still sell the most PPVs, and UFC personalities, in large part, are inspired by wrestling personas. That is where you could improve on the crossover.

Some of Punks early promos in AEW will be hilarious in hindsight if he does crawl back to WWE though.
I think you almost have to bring him back as a heel.

He can be face eventually, but let people get the hate out of their system. I think the whatever fan base crossover there is that wants to hate him will actually be more draw to the WWE product if they can hate him anyways.

Punk will forever despise Hunter, who has more say in creative than he did when Punk was still in WWE.

It won't happen. I've always been a Punk fan but he's a super grudge holder and he doesn't know how to be a team player.

Moxley ahead of Gunther just so they could have the Shield top three is pretty lame. Reigns, MJF and Gunther should be top 3 imo.
Mox being ahead of Gunther is a billionty trillion times less egregious than that ferrett-weasel Rollins being number one.

This is why I don't even see it happening. Riddle pissed off Goldberg and Lesnar, probably the only two guys that would shoot squash Riddle, but thankfully for him they kept their cool. For fun though, I think Riddle would have Phil KO'ed in 5 seconds.

You're not getting what I'm saying lol...

I think there's a strong chance Riddle isn't even employed by WWE by the time Punk is available.

I think the ufc can take a lot from WWE’s production quality too

I don't think UFC is particularly bad, but WWE is second to none when it comes to putting together video packages. Pretty much anybody can take from them in that regard.

Can deal without Kevin Dunn's shaky bullshit and millions of camera cuts in a 30 second angle. Although from what I do watch, it seems like they've cut back from that now that Vince's involvement is reduced.
