No wonder our negotiations with the Islanders ended immediately and were never heard of again.

Staple and Snow are both saying the players offered to Snow, were players he did not want going forward. Snow rejected the Minn offer that Buffalo accepted for Moulson: salary dump Torrey Mitchell+ retaining part of MM's salary+ two 2nds for MM+ 2nd tier prospect.

Looking at what LA gave for Gaborik, I am guessing was the offer for Vanek...an unwanted Frattin+ part if Vanek's salary retained+ a 2nd+ 3rd.

The press makes it seem like the other offers were terrific. None were. Collberg+2nd is IMO preferable to taking on salary dumps+ retaining salary for a couple of meh picks
