Kruger has been winning seemingly every board battle as of late and doing all the dirty work then getting the puck to Kane with slick little passes. Put him between Sharp and Kane, he's ready.

So Kyle Beach is on a hot streak

1 goal in 14 games ,,,, Nice waste of 11th overall pick

Power forwards need time to develop ....he his playing on 'blank' line and that is why he is not scoring. Did I miss any of the excuses?

He is not playing in the top six. And his numbers are just a smidge lower then the top six. Leave Beach alone he is progressing.

Dillon Fournier 1 goals, +2 tonight in a 5-2 win.

He has come alive after a brutal season offensively(statistically).

Now 8 games, 3 goals, 5 assists, 8 points, +5

From 2008 there are 13 first-rounders that have played less than 100 NHL games. Of these 4 have played 0 (zero) games. Beach has company. However, he has been disappointing since midway through his draft year and has fallen so far down our org chart I would not be the least bit surprised to see him not offered a new contract. Lalonde too.

Sooooo...any news on Stephen Johns? Is he going back to college for his senior year or what?

He is AHL ready and another year in college would just stagnate his development IMO.

As of right now Johns is a student at ND

May sign with Hawks but likely after school year

No to mention that at 11th overall Beach is most disappointing of the non game players

The others were 18th , 21st and 29th overall

You see Chet Pickard in the NHL anytime soon if at all ? If so it certainly won't be with Nashville.

happy birthday Brandon Pirri

The worst possible day for an NHL prospect. Now you transform from a 21 year old prospect to a 22 year old prospect. May seem trivial but from a value standpoint it drops considerably with each passing year at this point.

I doubt you know how Pickard does in the ECHL. I'm 100% sure you haven't seen 1 game to even have the slightest idea how he does

Brandon Whitney and the Tigres were swept in the 2nd round last night, ending their post-season. Whitney stopped 41 of 43 shots in the loss, and finished the playoffs with a .928Sv%. That placed him 3rd in the QMJHL, and the two goaltenders ahead of him (Fucale, .938Sv%/Cadorette, .930Sv%) faced a combined 329 shots - Brandon Whitney faced 360 shots in 9 games.

Mac Carruth has been doing pretty well through the first two rounds of the WHL playoffs.

In ten games, he's made 210/227 stops, good for a .925 SV% (5th overall) and 1.74 GAA (2nd overall)

Carruth and the Winterhawks start the third round tomorrow night against the Kamloomps Blazers.

Actually he has been loaned out to a team in Europe. He didn't do well in the ECHL from what I read.

~ What have you had to change in your game these last two years working with Nashville goalie guru Mitch Korn?

Chet Pickard:
Nashville Predators Goalie prospect Chet Pickard

Chet Pickard worked on his post play in practice, but everything was geared toward moving faster.

“Something that we’re working on is depth and positioning. You look at a guy like Corey Crawford and that’s kind of who I am looking at right now in terms of taking certain things from. It’s about positioning. He doesn’t get caught outside his parameters too much. In junior guys would bury their head to take a slap shot and I would come way out on top of the crease and it would hit me in the chest every time.”

Mitch Korn likes Crawford...but then again what does he know ?

Nope Pickard like Beach is a complete bust

Beach will play in the NHL and that alone means he isn't a "complete bust".

I wonder who would you have picked at #11 at the time.. Don't tell me about what you feel now. At the time was Beach a bad pick at #11 ? Did you want Myers, because I did but he hasn't lived up to the hype from his rookie year ?

As I said, sign him on the cheap and throw him on the 4th line. I would imagine the hog coaches want him on the third line so he can focus more on his defensive responsibilities and less on scoring. I don't know how many hogs games you watch, but I have heard he has progressed. I haven't heard anything negative from the coaches or Bernard.. You don't think they are covering for Dale do you ?

I actually advocated trading down ,, With that said though I was disappointed in Beach pick but I was willing to give him a chance and didn't completely voice displeasure with pick when considering it after draft

I was absolutely wrong about Lalonde
