I find that to be really babyish, but I guess that’s just me.
I love it, only other way the fan base can express themselves besides not spending money on it.

Those are actually pretty awesome looking. I'm not a big sneaker guy but I'd pick those up, I see they are only 1 pair and it's for charity which is awesome but yeah definitely gonna be out of my price range too.

That sucks. Those are pretty cool looking. I would consider buying then if they were for sale normally.
I don't doubt that people are gonna buy them but this is definitely a ymmv scenario because in my group of people who sit around me and other friends of mine that I've talked to not a single one has brought one or plans to do so.
Personally I'd never buy or wear one but I'm also in the camp that still never bought our current updated jersey cause I don't like that one either.
Saw a bunch of New Jersey’s at the game.
I was really bleh on the jersey on first reveal but they looked totally fine in person. I still think the crest area isn’t great but the rest of the jersey works well live.
I think I kinda like it now? Actually looked great on Sal during the parade and has some character unlike our non-descript current regular jerseys.
I fully agree that our current regular jerseys are the drizzling shits. They should have never messed with a classic.
I'm weird on those; I don't really hate the currents, but they kind of feel like they were designed more for fans wearing them around casually than for working as well on the ice with full gear on. All honesty I think I actually dig the current away whites, but the home reds should've stuck with the classic striping.I fully agree that our current regular jerseys are the drizzling shits. I know there is some dislike for the new 3rds, but that boo'ing, seemed way out of place IMO.
I'm glad the team actually tried to put some thought into it, with the 21 stripes, etc. Why would fans not appreciate the team is trying to do something new for once, it it isn't all that awful. There have been plenty of very bad 3rd Jerseys in the NHL over 25 years. Fishsticks/fisherman, etc.
It wasn't full on boo, but there were pockets booing, and others cheering.

All that said, lordy, I still wish I could get my hands on an authentic reverse retro. Bugs the hell out of me I've never had a shot at one.
I also find it weird that for a company who wants to make money off these things that they never produced anymore. Someone on njdevs posted a picture of an entire wall of PK 3rd jerseys yet they never made more of those retros that a lot of people seem to like.
Picture for reference and I don't even get why they made so many PK ones, especially with him being a UFA after this season. Do they really think these are all gonna sell? Apparently he was the only name available, not Nico, Hughes, Hamilton, etc. Definitely an odd choice...

The lack of retros is the worst. Was that a league wide thing and the NHL and Adidas just completely f***ing dropped the ball? They're like impossible to find at a reasonable price and if I could I'd actually get one. Like the white retro one you can find for a good price but they just said f*** you for the reverse retros
Because they are awful and ugly. I don't appreciate doing something new if that new thing is bad. Just like the regular jerseys. They tried to do something new and they made it new and bad.
I don't think it was a league wide issue, I think they just underestimated the demand for those and then they sold out rather quickly. I've said it before that I'm not huge on the green jerseys but at least that's actual Devils history, I'd take that any day over more nods to defunct teams that had absolutely nothing to do with the Devils like the Newark Bulldogs and the other 2 I don't give a shit to learn the names of and the Rockies and Scouts nods.
Can someone please help me out with the 21 stripes?
I count five stripes on the sleeves, five stripes on the shoulders, one stripe at the bottom.
