In more good news, with his goal tonight Vesey is now tied for 7th on the team for 5v5 goals with his 3 goals matching those of Marvelous Mika and the dearly-departed KK. It remains to be seen whether he can catch Chytil (4 goals) or make the loft height of Smith (5)...

Chytil to me now looks like 2002-03 Lindros. He's playing very safe because he has to. We all really better hope Laba is an actual 3C next year with room to grow. I don't see Chytil getting another contract.

Fox gotta really change his workout regime this summer. He looks terrible out there.

I'll sit through the team losing games as long as we're playing with heart. I will not sit through games when our multi-millionaire athletes look like they're not even working as hard as I do at my *checks bank account* not multi-million dollar job.

I'll keep checking in, because I'm compelled to. But until we finally burn the country club to the ground, I'm not planning on sitting down to watch any games in their entirety.

Cryster and Meekie-man are poison to the standard that needs to be set for younger Rangers. Not one young player including Laf have exploded on to the scene as a true force. They take their cue from the biggest bromance on Broadway. All while Lavi keeps feeding the Bro’s undeserving ice time.

At this point, I don't care who gets traded. However, we made the mistake of drafting #1 and #2, but kept running it back with the vets and not paying more attention to the kids. We could've had a real rebuild. Most teams getting that high back to back go through proper rebuilds and we f***ed that away. Now amount of trades, 3rd and 4th round picks will fix the damage done with that decision and the contracts we've signed to our vets.
Rebuilds aren't a sure fire way to the top. Hell look at Ottawa and Buffalo. Im sure there are many other examples. I'd argue there's no such thing as a "proper" rebuild. There's rebuilds that work out and ones that don't.

Chris Kreider needs to either sit out because he's hurt or be moved if he's not. I have a feeling it's a combination of he's got some serious miles on him and he's also not particularly motivated due to the Drury situation. In that case, it's best for both parties to move on. He's absolutely cooked.

..oh and Lafreniere f***ing sucks btw. He thinks he's Panarin out there. This team plays with absolutely no tempo on offense because they're always trying to slow the game down. Through the neutral zone, try and go wide, can't because you can't skate, peel back and look for a pass, and repeat. This entire f***ing team has the foot speed of a turtle.

That kid needs to start generating offense on his own, every game, WITH HIS FEET. Only we would have a 1OA fall into our laps that can't f***ing skate, this team I swear man
Panarin should be the only one allowed to do the peel-off-toward-the-boards-and-pass-across thing. Sadly everyone tries it and it never works.

Borgen and Vaak have made the team much stronger in their own zone. Lindgren as a top pair D remains deeply unserious and needs to be rectified after the freeze. Ruhwedel is a 7. I’m not sure Jones is much of an answer and Mancini isn’t ready. Fox is making some horrible decisions with the puck all year.

At forward, it’s the same story. The young guys largely show jump and energy and guys wearing letters are complete slouches. Trocheck is the only guy showing anything positive during this stretch but he’s still not great. Panarin was a turnover machine tonight. Mika and Kreider are just playing at 70% compared to everyone else and that has a very negative trickle down affect.

More trades need to be made. Plain and simple. Lindgren and Kreider next on the chopping block.

we're 0/12 on 6 on 5s this season right?

i mean the whole team is f***ing garbage top to bottom, even Panarin is barely doing anything now.
True but Laf has still somehow managed to look less impressive than basically all of our other young forwards, aka the guys who are more likely to be here for the long haul anyway.

Again I wouldn’t urgently try to move him, but I’d certainly see if he could be packaged for one of the team’s bigger holes.
