I just want to say, Brady Tkatchuk might be the dumbest human I've ever seen on TV. And I mean that literally. Watching the Amazon special, he came across as sloth from the goonies dumber brother. Can't stand that guy.
I was watching him run around just trying to bowl over guys with his two hands for a stretch of 15 seconds. He looked like he was having a f***ing tantrum again. It was comical.

It was postulated that this was the Oilers best record by Xmas in decades. It's definitely the best start over the past decade of the McDrai era.

2024-25: 21-11-2 (+10)
2023-24: 15-15-1 (0)
2022-23: 18-15-2 (+3)
2021-22: 18-11-0 (+7)
2020-21: n/a (Jan season start; COVID)
2019-20: 20-16-4 (+4)
2018-19: 18-15-3 (+3)
2017-18: 17-17-2 (0)

Nice to see Skinner get some acknowledgement in this thread of the not negative variety for a change.
I'm sure there will be future moments when he frustrates us again but, right now, he's given up 2 or less in 7 of 9 and only 3 in the other one which was a game that out of reach when he gave up the goals anyway. The Florida game was his only stinker and it was a supremely stinky one but 8 out of 9 solid starts is....solid.
I like idea that we would give him a try up the lineup. Look how Arvidsson responded. RNH might have been just as bad as Skinner, but it's hard to see the bad in a player when they get to play next to McDavid. McDavid even propped up Kassian

Generally if you keep the opponent below 3 goals against you will win and we certainly have the firepower to do that.

Usually I hate breaks when on a heater, but Edmonton needed it by the looks of the last few games.

Rest up boys. Time for some Rejean enetrtainment

"Gotta keep feeding the Oilers those powerplays. Of ####i g course."

"Better get the bobbsy twins out there to pad their stats. Empty net for Ottawa."
He's too stupid to realize that McDavid and Draisaitl don't like to score on empty nets.

Did you watch the post game presser? They asked why Skinner is still on line 4. It was pretty awkward.

The fact that Nuge is out and Skinner still doesn't get to move up in the line up shows he's cooked.

The issue is Skinner isn't a 4th line type of guy. I hope we can ship him out somehow.
The 4th line had one of the more dominant shifts I’ve seen this year. Skinner contributing to that in the o-zone. Perry was a beast. Ryan was moving really well too.

And Skinner got robbed too on probably best save of the game.

Skinner really hasn’t integrated well into the Oilers system. Trying to do too much individually. But I think there’s signs that could change.

First Hyman making Team Canada look stupid and now Skinner as well, I love it.
Makes Doug Armstrong look a moron. Which is fine by me.

As frustrating as Henrique game has been this year, he’s still a plus player somehow with no top 6 time. Not sure how that’s possible but it is. He needs to start producing more. But at least hes not a liability on the ice.

I don’t hate him by any stretch but he needs to actually stay healthy and play.

If he gets another week to week type of injury prior to the trade deadline they really have to consider using the stone LTIR strategy so RV isn’t hurting us.
Besides the goal. He had two really good chances last night. The backhand attempt and a slot shot one timer. So if that keeps coming, the production should follow.

Team is looking great right now. Cup is back on the menu in a big way.

"Oilers with 5 PPs to Ottawa's 1. This league is a f'n joke."

LMAO

For the record, I just find the comments entertaining. I do not obsess with what those mouth breathers say. CGY is the most irrelevant team. Utah should be passing them here quickly. DAL and Utah are right behind VAN/CGY for the Wildcard. Would be funny if they both overtake them and stay there

Didnt get my Christmas wish, but we got the win, the team doesnt even need goaltending, just like last year. When they do need it, its no where to be found.
Dallas Game 6. 2-1 win. 34 Dallas shots to 10shots.

LA game 4. 1-0 win. 33 LA shots to 13 shots.

Nowhere to be found ever.

15 out of a possible 16 wins in the playoffs last year. Trust me, there were other games too we needed goaltending and found it.

The strange thing is that I could care less about Calgary and Vancouver while their fans are unhealthily obsessed with us. The only teams I would even come close to hating are the ones that ousted us from the playoffs: Florida, Vegas, and Colorado.

How sad is that. The kings fielding pretty much the same team as last year. No Jonathan quick. Rittich/keumper in goal. Their massive upgrade was signing Warren foegele.

Same guys doing the damage for the Kings, Kempe, Kopitar, Fiala and old man Doughty.

Doughy should just request a trade to the oilers and finish his career with a cup here.
Doughty has not even played a game yet he is still injured lol

My 2 biggest surprises are LA and Washington

I thought LA would f*** off by now. Every year I think geezer Kopitar will slow down and he just keeps putting up points lol

Shows you that smart and hard working players like mcDrai will be able to as well.

On the high stick to drai they could have called three penalties.

He laid one hit where he sent an oiler into another sens player and it looked like the sen got the worst of it. I would hate to be on his team.

Last night was one of the only games this season where the refs probably favored the Oilers.

And even then Tkachuk could've had like 5 more penalties.

Nurse should've popped him in the jaw.

On the high stick to drai they could have called three penalties.
half the time when an oiler bleeds they only call a 2 minute highsticking anyways.

f*** the refs
