All encompassing, never boring, occasional factual, turtle free Mason McTavish Trade (or not) thread!

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
I’m just trying to understand what you’re talking about. And the growing consensus seems to be that mctavish is a LW going forward so I think pretty much every team would agree that Knies would be the better LW of the two.
Yeah, an NHL team like St.Louis with five NHL left wings and a big hole at center is going aggressively after McTavish because they think he’s a left wing.

Eye of the beholder I guess. Could just be that St Louis is smarter than Anaheim and mctavish will become an 80 point 2C for them. But that’s ok because we’ll have Knies.

Something that stands out from these McTavish rumors with Verbeek that I like is that he's being patient, looking for the right deal/fit, and not settling. The 11th pick, for example, as a starting point is good value. We can argue whether it's the right asset or not, but he's not being reckless.
