Friedman on Tocchet and the Flyers: “It’s coming.”
Says Jay Woodcroft, Brad Shaw, Jay McKee were all interviewed.
I'd rather the Flyers change their colors to the Golden Seals colors than have Tocchet as coach.

I disagree with you there… the fans deserve better, period. They're going to continue to fail and be embarrassed, but that's great because it's exactly what they deserve. 99.9% of the fans deserve it too.
Things will never get better either, since it's completely rotten and incompetent all the way to the tippity-top.
Firing the coach doesn't matter when the GM in charge of replacing them is an idiot.
Firing the GM doesn't matter when the president in charge of replacing them is an idiot.
Firing the president doesn't matter when the owner in charge of replacing them is an idiot.
And who fires and replaces the owner?
Not true. The Flyers are a player development "black hole" They are awful at player development.the Flyers ONLY problem is their DRAFTING![]()

Established NHL head coaches rarely change their system when they go to new teams. They have their philosophies on how they coach and that's what they will install. Kevin Kurz is showing that he is uninformed.
Here’s the thing… @Kurz thought Torts was a good coach.
I would love to know what ownership has told Hextall, Fletcher, and Briere. More so the latter two when the team was obviously bad. If the message was “we want the chance at playoff revenue so make moves accordingly. We don’t rebuild” it’s likely that GM’s do what they have to to keep their job. That doesn’t mean Fletcher and possibly Briere are good GM’s but they were put into an impossible situation.

I’m not sure I expect Comcast to be transparent. I think we’ll get an idea by their actions this offseason what their vision isIf that's the case, then there's still an issue, just in this case it's with the messaging from the POHO and GM. If the diktat is is "never rebuild, make that playoff money", then just come out and admit that your plan is to push for the playoffs, future be damned. Don't piss on my head and tell me it's raining, be honest about what you're doing and why.
Please stop letting them off the hook with this stupid logic.I would love to know what ownership has told Hextall, Fletcher, and Briere. Tocchet I can live with if Briere continues constructing the roster and system with the far future taking precedence but it shows a faulty process and it’s very possibly coming from ownership. We’ve seen how poor ownership has affected franchises
Couldn’t disagree more.I disagree with you there… the fans deserve better, period.
All the fans. Those of us who criticize the FO and yes the authentics too.
The authentics definitely piss me off with their inability to criticize obvious failures, but at the end of the day, many of them have made Flyers hockey such an integral part of their lives (for some it’s sadly their entire life) that admitting the team they’ve invested so much in is a failure on all levels would make them significantly less happy (depressed). You can’t blame the fans for being too loyal or too passionate.
And sadly, in today’s era of media rights and with the value boost of this new stadium coming in 2031, you could have that arena at 75% capacity nightly (we’ve never gone under 90% and no team outside of Carolina, Florida, Buffalo, San Jose, Arizona has been under 75%) and it would be a drop in the bucket to management.
