So Punk nixed a Jack Perry spot allegedly because Jack wanted to use real glass in the spot.

It's weird Punk has any kind of say on what spots get done, but from the sounds of it Punk wasn't wrong to say "nah, we aren't doing that"

You'd think Dante Martin shattering his leg on the erector set would've sent a message to some of these guys. Nope.

It's Mox, Jericho, and Danielson. Not sure if Danielson is around with his injury.

Jericho is old as dirt at this point and Danielson has always seemed to get along with Punk. Not to mention Danielson himself subtly said (In about as nice a manner as possible) that Ospreay/Kenny's Tiger Driver spot was dumb as f***.

Mox is the one who would both disagree and get pissy about it, but let's be honest, is Mox really winning a fight against Punk? I realize the dude sucked ass against legitimate fighters but those are legitimate fighters. He's still trained for actual fighting way more than 95% of the population. It's like taking the worst NHL player of all time and matching him up against Joshua Jackson of the Mighty Ducks movies in a game of three bar. He may be the worst NHL player of all time, but he was still an NHL player.

Lesnar is just laughable. Dude would eat Punk alive, but are we really to believe his philosophy on the business is all that different?

Of course, Punk also got his side of the Brawl Out story out. That's why language like "storming into his locker room" was used. That's a given.

A guy like SAS will usually talk to both sides.

Meltzer might have sources on both sides, but he mostly, if not exclusively, spins it to make Punk look bad. And let's not forget that the whole thing allegedly started because the Elite has planted story about Punk being a cancer and getting Colt Cabana fired.

Ok then he’s not a real journalist with that sometimes right/sometimes wrong hit rate, and people need to stop treating him like one. He’s a historian with an opinion. Not an actual news source. He’s news in the same way network cable is news- he wants to get as many eyeballs as possible and he’ll say what his supporters want to hear to keep that crowd.

The Elite didn't invent dirt sheets but there's zero doubt that Dave is heavily biased toward them. He's proven that both in his coverage of the Punk vs. Elite drama (And I'm by no means in Punk's camp here. Both sides are ridiculous, immature, and unprofessional) and in his incessant circle jerk over every AEW match being 5 stars or better.

Not to mention I'm pretty sure Alvarez came out and claimed he had no issues with Punk and any accusation of a prior issue over Maria Kanellis was a lie, and then either Corny or Konnan's group pulled audio from a decade ago where Alvarez noted having an issue with Punk while he was dating Maria. (I'd have to go back and find this. I know there was something to it but can't remember the details to a T)

Just because he’s not a journalist and I point that out doesn’t mean I hate him! Like I’ve said countless times, he’s a historian who likely has more knowledge of the industry’s history than anybody alive today. He’s just out to lunch here, and pointing that out isn’t wrong. If that’s sad to you then so be it, I guess you live a dreary life!

Actual journalists don’t just run with the first thing they hear from parties who hold bias! It is what it is!

He's an incredible source of knowledge for wrestling history... But half of what he reports anymore should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

... That and his rating system hasn't meant shit for about five years. It became painfully obvious when he gave Ospreay four 5+* matches in a week when Kurt Angle didn't have a 5* match in his entire career.

He even could've saved face on this by acknowledging that he's inflated the system at this point... Instead Chris Van Vliet asked him about it and he actually tried to justify why Kurt was never worthy of 5*s.
