I have never been much of an Edge fan, although never disliked him either, but have always liked Christian Cage solo and he has been phenomenal in AEW ever since he went heel. Adding Copeland into the mix right now immediately makes the TNT belt program the most interesting thing in wrestling for me.

They'll end up together at some point, but it does not have to be now nor soon.

This feud will be lit if Tony can let it breathe and is now too excited about all the dream matches.
Given what we know about Edge, I'll kinda be disappointed if we don't get a long Christian promo about their history capped off with a "Your mother is dead".

Feel like we need to bring back the BLEEP for planned cursing.

The silence during "Go f*** yourself" left me wondering what the hell he said, and assuming the audio cut out.

It also didn't help that right before he said it, they switched from that side view to that view looking up from behind Christian's back where you could only kind of see his mouth moving.

So, who got the better end of the unoffical AEWWE trade of Edge for Jade Cargill?
Hard to say. Edge is a better talent then Cargill could ever dream of being but is on the tail end of his career. I honestly think it works out best for both companies. AEW has more for Edge to do then WWE and WWE has more for Cargill to do then AEW does.

Jade has more high end talent to help cover for her as she improves too.

Edge has fresh talent to work with now and the biggest value in AEW for him vs WWE is AEW has Christian which is the most valuable person he can work with at this point in his career (its been forever since they have done anything sustained together and will be the first time they work together as equals)

So yeah I think it's a good trade for both companies for different reasons

AEW wins pretty convincingly for the short term, WWE may win in the long term with Jade.

She's really, really sinking her teeth into this. I'm digging it.

See, I don't know about that. How marketable is Jade? I know we've seen a women's wrestling revolution but that's based around female wrestlers that are incredible performers and not just based on their looks. Jade has the looks but not the wrestling ability.

She'd have fit in great in 2001 WWE, but now? You're going to have her making much more talented female performers job out just to build her up, and the womens roster on WWE is WAY stronger than the womens roster on AEW where they'd sacrifice the random local of the week to build her up.

I think they'll help her improve her in-ring abilities more than AEW would have but I don't think it will translate to her becoming the female John Cena either. There are so many more talented women on that roster that I can see it being very easy for her to get lost in the shuffle.
