Brian Cage is a bigger draw than Christian?? :biglaugh: How many casual fans know who Brian Cage is??? Answer... none.

And sure it gets more viewers than NXT... but NXT never had a ton of viewers. TNA used to average more viewers than WWECW. TNA used to pull 900K viewers when Impact first started. During Christian's run, they averaged around 1.3M viewers, or a bit less than double what AEW pulls.
Now that’s an joke, unless you stopped watching wrestling in mid 2000’s you absolutely have to know Cage, you couldn’t have missed him.

Also where are you getting your numbers from? Cause they’re full of shit. TNA never averaged over 1.05 before Kurt Angle joined, with Christian as a main star they weren’t even close to ”bit less than double AEW pulls ” lmao

I know who Cage is. 75% of wrestling fans don't.

And that's a cable rating, not number of viewers. At least get your facts right before typing "LMAO!!!"

75% wrestling fans don’t? LMAO it’s about time you wake up and realize it’s 2021 and not 2010 anymore...

And if they have similar ratings they also have similar viewership.

I think a trios belt is in order with all the factions + tags

I would normally agree on your FTR/MJF point but they’re going to do an old school revival thing and it should be pretty glorious. They all probably watch mid south together or some shit
Trios titles would be the next titles they introduce.

Hell baby
Can’t compare ratings from 2008 to ratings from 2021

It is a different TV landscape

but I also think way more people know who Christian is compared to Brian Cage

AEW is also going up head to head with NXT which is taking some of their viewers. (Can’t recall what day impact was on back then)
If NXT moves off Wednesday you could see AEW start to close in on RAWs ratings.

Not really even a fan, put on some good matches here and there and i liked him as third part of the Taylor boys , haven’t kept up with his solo runs much, still heard of them tho cause he is that big of deal in the wrestling business. He has wrestled in pretty much every notable promotion there is in the world as well as indies, on the hit show Lucha Undeground. Had numorous title runs in them. Majority of wrestling fans know him, it’s just a fact.

I really wish they had figured out a way to keep Cobb. I still watch his AEW debut. Great music, perfect monster

I think the vast majority of wrestling fans pay no attention to Japan, Mexico, and the Indies, I've been watching since the mid 80's (WWF/E, NWA/JCP, AWA, WCW, and WCCW ) and I had never heard of Cage until he joined AEW, or at least I had never seen him before, maybe I head his name mentioned once or twice but it didn't mean much to me

Some random thoughts:
  • Still feel like AEW can be a bit all over the place. Also feel like it could be better, but I still like it

  • The new MJF faction... feels thrown together to me and I think it dummies down FTR to be led by a guy like MJF. Maybe use The Acclaimed instead?

  • I respect his work in the ring, but I don't like Archer. And Jake shouldn't be out there.
I agree can be a bit all over the place but still a lot better than WWE imo. Not sure what to think of AEW using so many guys as tweeners. They have a lot of different factions too but I don't mind that.

I was kind of thinking the same about FTR. I'm hoping as the leader of this group MJF becomes less of a weiner. I like how slimy he is but he's a bit too soft/goofy at times. They're clearly trying to pattern this group after the Four Horsemen so being a modern day Arn/Tully isn't a bad gig. Im not sure they're not better off on their own tho.

Jake's first promo in AEW was amazing and he had a few solid ones after that but he hasn't a good one for a long time now. He also acts clownish which doesn't suit him or Archer.

I've followed wrestling pretty much my whole life other than for a short period in high school and always even try to stay up to date somewhat of the promotions/indies I don't watch at least through the internet, and know some names and I had no idea who Brian Cage was before AEW. Was shocked to learn he's almost 40.

Example. I don't think I've ever watched an Eli Drake match but I knew he was when he showed up on NXT.

Sure, I said this. But you can still look at trends to see bumps. There was 100% a bigger bump when Christian joined TNA than when Brian Cage joined AEW, lol.

"hit show Lucha Underground"..... What?

I love your passion for wrestling. But you're wrong. More people know Alex Riley than Brian Cage.

Christian isn't Austin or The Rock but he's still been part of so much history. TLC alone makes him a bigger name than Brian Cage.

You're talking about title runs in promotions that no one watches. Christian won a title in his first WWE match when WWE was pulling the highest ratings of all-time.

There's no way you're not trolling at this point lol

This is just plain ignorant, the world isn’t just group of people you know, and it’s isn’t the 90’s the anymore, Razor Ramon as you mentioned was in the first ladder match ever and still he toured indies for longer than his wrestling prime lasted without anyone giving a damn. The sole fact you don’t know Lucha Underground tells me you’re not really informed on whats a major pull in 2021...

Nobody watches AAA, TNA and nor did watch FCW ever, just plain laughable.

Where did I say I don't know Lucha Underground? Get your head out of your ass.

You're the most ridiculous troll I've ever seen. Have a good one fella.

I would by one that says "No more BB" on it. ;)

Seriously though, I think with those tees these days that they don't make many or possibly any ahead of time. Most of them go through that pro wrestling tees shop and they're essentially made to order. They just come up with the graphics. That's Major Wrestling Figure Podcast of Cardona and Myers come up with a new shirt monthly at minimum.
