It's like 100% gonna be 2 hours, based on reports. Sounds like Tuesday nights.
Smackdown competition . . .
I think the cycles all start the same week, so AEW’s first show would be the first week Smackdown begins on Fox on Fridays.Depends on which exact day they debut, they might go once head to head.
But no idea.
BREAKING: Harry Potter to AEW confirmed
that seems problematic.Just scrolled ahead to next Saturday on my DVR. Double or Nothing is $94.99 CAD, holy crap.
WWE fans should only be happy. There is no downside to what looks like possibly some legitimate competition, for wrestling in general and for WWE.
That's not strictly true.WWE fans should only be happy. There is no downside to what looks like possibly some legitimate competition, for wrestling in general and for WWE.
There's a reason that USA is willing to shell out billions for WWE. They have nothing else. If they didn't have WWE there's a decent chance they'd go under entirely.

If AEW isn't good, then it's bad for everyone. You now have even more hours of content to sift to see the guys you like and the overall quality of mainstream wrestling stays poor.
If AEW is good, but doesn't attract viewers, then it's terrible for everyone. It would show that there isn't a market for wrestling that is non-WWE and massively hamper the chance of another potential competitor coming along.
And even without extremes, there are plenty of edge cases where a second show on another channel may end up being a net negative for an individual.
But they're owned by NBC Universal...
It's kinda weird observing them on social media, they're like so inside the WWE bubble they're cheering for a company to fail before ever seeing itWWE fans should only be happy. There is no downside to what looks like possibly some legitimate competition, for wrestling in general and for WWE.
