But the reality is the Bruins will soon face a bountiful prospect crop that will have many more bodies than available spots. Nice problem to have, but an issue requiring movement either way.
Dom put it best on the Amigos podcast: It's getting real close to time to "thin the herd" and decide who is going to stay as that core next crop -- and who will be moved.
Fair enough.
Now put yourself in the trade market for the people you want, and the other team demands players you have determined as your core?
Sure Sweeney could thin the heard and deal a handful of good (not core) prospects to get us another 3rd line forward, and another 3rd pairing defenseman. I fail to believe that really helps the Bruins now, and certainly not in the future
