They also signed Martin. Still their season rest on 1.- Health, 2.- Progression from some of their younger guys to make up for regression from the older ones, and 3.- Jones playing like a #1.
If Jones falters then they're in for another showing like last year.
Good assessment.
My sense is that Joe Pavelski and Couture were as good last year as they are going to get, while the key to their "core" is just older, slower: Thornton, Marleau.
I think their D is weak and that Martin/Jones is not going to solve the problem.
