atleast on netflix it wont cost me anything since I already pay for netflix.

Hes a good businessman and promoter.

That’s what I mean
Like it is a whole new audience, and it will drive new subscriptions

I feel like Netflix just changed boxing in reaching more people even though this event was laughable

Paul probably likes Tyson - the Tyson of 2024 is NOT the ANGRY man of his youth. He is affable and outgoing and someone people look up to. The last thing Paul wanted was to hurt the guy. First, because he would have felt awful. Second, because it would have hurt Paul's career.

They both made a TON of money and, hopefully, this will help Tyson in his later years.

As for people who paid for this...

Common sense told you it would not be a fair or entertaining fight.

This fight just wreaks of being fixed. The media slap was soft. The fight itself was soft. Nobody fought to win.

The Taylor fight b4 was miles more entertaining

This was the equivalent of an ECHL hockey player having a skills competition against Wayne Gretzky.

I fixed the buffering issue by rewinding two minutes and it was smooth from then on. So basically I watched it 2 minutes later than the live stream

Convicted rapist, drunk driver, coke head. Take your pick.

The bolded is really the only legitmate gripe, and he did his time for it. Understand someone not being able to look past it still but he seems to have changed as a person as time went on and afaik was never accused again and doesn't seem like he ever will be. Other beloved sports figures have raped people such as Kobe Bryant.

He has one DUI arrest afaik/can see after a quick google search, didn't even involve alcohol, it was combo of cocaine/weed/meds he was taking. Irresponsible, but isolated incident. So he's not some serial drunk driver.

Cocaine, whatever, who cares what he puts into his own body as long as he aint slingin it or corrupting other people around him with it.

He's a legend in the sport.

Really? I just can't imagine anyone betting on a 58 year old man to beat someone less than half his age.

Tyson slowed down after being in prison for 3 years and that was 30 years ago. No one over the age of 40 believed he had a chance if this thing lasted more than a couple rounds. You simply do NOT have the stamina.

I remember jogging when I was young and there were times when I could have run forever. I didn't plan a distance but I simply did not get tired. Nothing hurt. Nothing ached. I had the stamina and wind to go F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Now, many years later (and I am younger than Tyson), I can get winded on a brisk walk.

There was a reason it was 8 two minute rounds - because they were worried Mike might have a heart attack.

I'm assuming MOST of you are young but you will see what Father Time does - and it's not pretty.

The real battle of the evening = the people vs. Netflix

Seriously what an embarrassment. :help:

Fortunately it only buffered for me twice and I’m in Ontario, Canada. And fortunately both times it buffered for me during the talking heads yammering segments between fights. So I didn’t miss anything while watching Barrios/Ramos, or Serrano/Taylor or during the main event.

Uh....that poster, nor anyone else is saying it was rigged in the sense that Mike let Jake win.

It was rigged in the sense that it was a bullshit fight with a predetermined outcome they tried to hype up and dress up in lipstick, and Paul also stopped trying and didn't knock him out or get the fight stopped when he would have if it was an actual legit match. Nothing gained from it other than money.

And us schumcks watching and continue to talk about it....
