Words to live by for fantasy junkies. LA doesn't have any selfish players and they don't play a style that guarantees stats. The players are expected to sacrifice it all for defense and wins. Whenever I am drafting, unless it is picking up a bottom pairing Martinez/Muzzin or something. As a Kings fan, it is certainly tempting to take Kings, but it has almost always ended badly for me and those I know :P
 
Never pick Kings for fantasy pools, it depends too much on regular season production. This is a playoff built team, with a core that is unselfish.

I really think the Kings are on the verge of a tipping point this year when it comes to offense. Short version.... top 2 scoring lines/shut down defensive lines... followed by Pearson/Carter/Toffoli getting sheltered shifts and destroying other teams bot 6 lines/3rd pairings. Overwhelm the opponents by having lines on the ice most of the game that are capable of posing an offensive threat... This will wear down opponents, make line matching a nightmare, and keep opponents on their heals... Couple this with one of the best D/Goal combos... the Kings are going to be nasty this year.

Maybe even in Fantasy stats!
 
I think the Kings will be higher-scoring this season with 3 solid scoring lines, but in the past it was definitely a bad pick.
 
I have Voynov on my team and he provided a good solid blocked shot in his first game. Just why I picked him, huh.
 
I have Jake Muzzin benched because of his injury, but with Dan Boyle getting injured last night that will mean I'm short one defenseman. How long is Muzzin expected to be out?
 
Just what the heck did Erik Johnson do? I might not have to worry about PIMs till the next matchup.
 
dang, how did I miss this thread, I spaced on the draft thought it was in October, so now I'm towards the bottom, just glad I'm not last :)

oh and RP if you hadn't already figured it out, I'm the Dawdle Kings in our league, and having fun so far following all the games around the league.

He's Gaborik, he doesn't play 82 games. He's the typical high risk, high reward player. If you have Gaborik you need to have a backup plan ready to go. If you're in a daily lineup league getting a free agent backup shouldn't be a problem. The one positive about drafting King players is we get about as much injury news as anybody and if you live on the West Coast you might be able to see late night injuries so you can be prepared for the next day.

One of my favorite players in the league, and I always draft him in all my leagues just because I love him and his play style so much haha

Serious though his points and goals pace is the same as it was when he was fully elite, it's crazy. Just need his health.

But yeah, I toyed with the idea of stickying the fantasy thread with one locked post that said DONT DRAFT KINGS
