Aliaksei Protas this season - 66 points, one PP point

Unless someone else scored a boatload of shorthanded points I believe that’s the case (I could find stats for even-strength points with 0 or <2 power play points but couldn’t find non-power play points including shp)

The old record was Jim Peplinski with 58 evp (59 non-pp points) and 0 ppp.

Pascal Dupuis had 55 evp and 59 non-pp points one season with one lonely ppp.

So I believe Protas eclipses their shared record of 59 for most-non-pp points in a season with less than 2 ppp.

But I’m not going to iterate through the lowers on the evp list to see if any of them had crazy amounts of shp.

Wow some players down the list really did have piles of shorthanded points. Westfall had 11, Sanderson had 12! PKs must have been crazy in the early 70s. There hasn’t even been a 10 shp season in the nhl since 07-08.
