I mostly agree with this.

I would like a better coaching staff. A pretty solid team that has just fallen short numerous times has had a major regression this year, including the goalie. I especially do not like the own-zone play and somehow the power play has taken a complete nose dive.

I really wonder what the heck Phil Housley does. From what I remember, he was a terrible defender when he played and was above average on stacked power-play groups.

Didn’t we bring Staal back into the org? What the heck is he doing? At least he was dominant at defending at one point in his career.

One reason I asked if Girardi was coaching when MSG showed him at one of the recent games.. He’d be perfect if he has experience coaching. Staal would be great but who knows if he wants to coach. Some players take time before they decide if they want to coach or not. They have families so maybe after the kids are grown, that could be an option if they wanted to do so. Can they hire Tanner Glass as coach, developing young talent is not something he is good at, so he’d fit already sadly. Organization needs upgrading in scouting, coaching and being developed into contenders.

One would think he would be playing in front of family members yesterday and thus a real effort by him . I guess not . Kid has his money and he has no incentive to be better . Geesh....he is set for life for doing dick all . Why get banged up ? Best case scenario is that sooner or later JT pulls him aside and calls his lack of effort out . Up to this point we have had no body man enough in the room to that . Coaches won't , Drury won't , Fox Won't , Panarin won't , Kreider LOL....won't ,Mika won't .....and here we are .....

The CBA needs to add in a conditioning non-agreement between the players and the organization, where a team can just shut you down and tell you to take the next month hitting the gym and doing sprints. Donuts on cheat days only, and you get 1 a month...

i'm not aware if there are any awards for hockey player agents. but if there is such an award my vote easily goes to laff's agent. representing a guy who has absolutely no forehand of a shot, is a mediocre skater at best, and in most games you'd be lucky to notice him in one shift-to land a contract that pays 7.5 mill annually may make the next group of fa's seriously ponder switching and going with laff's guy.

this season in games this lug has played in 19 minutes or more of ice time the team only won one game. this is the guy who has followers on this board going oh this is the future rangers captain?

This is exactly why I want to see him on Miller's line to get the remedial Pettersson instruction.

I know it's cliche but he just signed a contract with a guaranteed $50+M coming to him. Some people handle that differently. I think he snaps out of it eventually.

I'll trade a great playoffs for an underwhelming regular season.
