thanks. i acknowledge bad mistake. what can i say? i splooged on my face. however that does not change my opinion that this organization just can't develop all star offensive position players that they draft in the top 10.
That may be true but I would add a few qualifiers.

1. We have only had the 4 (Lias, Krav, Kakko, and Laf) in the last 25 years and I do not think Lias was ever expected to be an All Star player based on draft reports. Krav was a high risk high reward type flier. Last season Laf did look like a future all star and is still young.

2. I do not really put much weight in to these general organizational comments for a few reasons. A lot depends on the player more so than the organization. Take the Oilers. Is there any reason to think they can develop guys like McDavid and Leo but not Yakupov? Same organization and time frame. Also in the Rangers case we are talking many different coaches, GMs, etc over time. It is unlikely that they will have the same methods. Many top 10 picks are not meant to be all stars. Some are. You mentioned James Patrick. I did not remember him ever being an All star but Brian Leetch was. I know they are not forwards but they were both drafted top 10 and overlapped in their careers. If we drafted Crosby or McDavid instead of Laf I'm pretty sure they would still be all stars.

Nope that’s just who he is as a player. This is not panarins fault.
Yeah I really do not get this stuff that permeates this board. Everything is someone else's fault. What is going on when we have so little personal responsibility? Laf played very well last season. He deserved the praise. This season he has taken a small step back. Not a huge step back but we had hoped he would continue his progress forward. He looked like he would early in the season after a strong playoff.

Because people need to rationalize why the #1 overall pick in the draft is so underwhelming. It can’t be that he just is, it has to be that through osmosis Panarin has infected Lafreniere with the inability to skate hard, make plays with the puck, force cross ice passes constantly and not move his feet. All of which were problems Lafreniere has had since he entered the league.

Skating hard is a want in my opinion not an ability. If Laf wants to skate hard he can. He showed that last season. No coach or linemate is going to stop him from skating hard today just like no teammate will stop JT Miller from skating hard. Next season Laf needs to be ready to play. He has to or we will be in trouble. If we miss the playoffs I would not be shocked if we have a massive house cleaning.
