Flip flops are not good for kicking peoples' ass. Therefore no flip flops.

Seriously though, if you've ever been jumped in public or had to run to or away from some emergency you probably won't wear flip flops again.

Plus I hate the noise. It's a weak beat without a decent bass line.
This is basically me. No I don't look to be kicking anyone ass unless its a proper go time. Lot of lessons ingrained from being around a good amount of fights in my teenage and early 20s. Also heavily influenced by my old danzan ryu jujitsu sensei in my early 20s which was extremely street practical focused/fight ending techniques but the mental aspect of maintaining disciplined threat awareness was the thing that I maintained the most.
Those that haven’t “flip flopped” .. simply need to try it (looking at you, @usiel)
Now I do have the below just for indoors only if I need my feet to be a little warmer without wearing socks and have to say is amazingly comfortable. I use a tempered glass chair mat essentially for my work/gaming center and bare feet on glass really starts to irritate the bottom of ones feet over time.

But it depends on what you're going for, I'm pretty sure "la chancla" is just latina mother for "I'm about to beat your ass with this sandal"
