Newhook does have a couple OK NHL seasons under his belt.
But I'd be interested in a 1st and 2nd for Holtz.
Yeah, a center with 159 GP and 66 points is a very different beast.

I miss my Muk.Wish he would have been traded to the sharks...
He would be getting NHL minutes and playing with his buddy Eklund
Anaheim should have to pay someone to take Gibson, they aren’t getting a good prospect.I would assume Holtz would be part of any package that went out the door to secure Gibson or Hellebuyck.
It wouldn't be, Fitz will not do it. His trades were smart or fair. Gibson even with retention has negative value. No shot Anaheim gets Holtz for Gibson. That'd be Fitz's worst move by far in his GM tenure.
The backups on Anaheim looked to have similar numbers to Gibson. Maybe he started mailing it in at some point but he didn't stand out in any way.It wouldn't be, Fitz will not do it. His trades were smart or fair. Gibson even with retention has negative value.
I’d say he gave up some nights. He’d routinely see 40-50 shots a game and lots of breakdowns. I think he’s a decent goalie stuck on a horrible team but at this point I don’t think he’s much of an upgrade on Vitek and his contract is not great even with max retention. The backups on Anaheim looked to have similar numbers to Gibson. No way for Gibson .. Hellebuyck, sure.I would assume Holtz would be part of any package that went out the door to secure Gibson or Hellebuyck.
Still shocked that Grier didn't want Holtz. If Holtz didn't go in the Meier trade, I think it's unlikely that Fitz is going to trade him for Gibson.

Glad he didn't.
Well whatever their reasoning was (valid or not), I'm glad things worked out where we kept Holtz. If you looked at their prospect pool, winger wasn’t a need (it typically isn’t). They didn’t have any defensemen like Muk (high upside, offense, size). He made a lot of sense for them.
They actually had a pretty big hole at LHD in their system, which they improved even before the draft by getting both Muk and Henry Thrun’s signing rights from Anaheim in February .
