Yet he still outscored Tuch in his tenure here.
not even sure what this is supposed to mean Eichel did nothing the year before and Tuch outscored him for 2 years post trade including the season where Vegas won the cup.....are you just adding up all of his time as a Sabre vs Tuch who has only been here for a few years because their PPG as a Sabre is pretty comparable along with goals.

You tell me, you are the one comparing.....Also Tuch spends time on the IR too.

Tuch is 28 and has 2 years left on his deal. Buffalo will likely never be a competitive hockey team with Tuch wearing their jersey. Why on earth would they white knuckle him?
Because he turned on the fans after the team got booed last year ?? He and Okposo told the rest of the team to no longer salute the fans after wins because of the booing...This is just past of the losing culture here...He needs to go.

Sign him for another deal when its over? He wants to be a Sabre.
I'm sick of this "Players who want to be here" crap. I'm not a fan of Tuch, some games he just doesn't put in the effort and just floats, he's not the problem but people overrate Tuch because of his big talk and this "players who want to be Buffalo" crap. I want players on my team who want to win, who put in the effort and will always fight for the team.

He floats less than basically everyone else in the top 6....will knock a guy over and take the puck away for a SHG and goes all out on the PK. Nobody wants to play now during the losing streak and I don't exactly see the lack of effort from him unless he's been on the ice forever and is straight up tired.

Unfortunately I can't watch all the games because of the time zone, but I watched the Utah game, I didn't see Tuch for almost the entire game, it was like he wasn't even on the ice. No, I agree he's a positive player and probably even a pretty important one, but I don't think he's untouchable and I'm willing to look at all options. That doesn't mean I'm trading Tuch in any trade or futures, of course not, it's just that this team is so frustrating that I'm willing to look at all options.

Tuch was a promising young player who did well for Vegas before the trade, but man was he streaky. Either hot or cold and nothing in the middle, and the streaks would be long both ways.

Maybe I’ve missed it as an outsider but from all the media I’ve seen with tuch he seems to want to be there.

I think Buffalo should have some internal rule where they keep guys like that no matter what.

But I bet he’d have some hefty value.

You’d have to guess a bit of a bidding war would occur. The dude is gigantic. He could be the most valuable Buffalo forward since he’d draw a ton of interest. The price is not the value of the player, it’s the amount the buyer is willing to pay. Not every team can put a 23 year old center in their lineup. Big chunk of the league would put Rantanen Junior here in their top 9. It’s highway robbery to pay that dude under 5 imo. Because his pay is relatively low you’d have a much easier time finding deals too. Big ole bidding war. Maybe because of this, if you’re Buffalo, you sell. You’re gonna maybe get an outsized return.

I’d love him on stl with Thomas but I wouldn’t want to pay the price so I’d pass. The only scenario I’d see is if there are discussions with unsigned Snuggerud and buffalos More US centric team. There’s no indication of this. That would be a scenario where the Sabres had the specific desire to bring Snuggerud in and then pitched Tuch to Stl as a part of the deal, not the other way around. Doesn’t make much sense at face value. Or stl could move Kyrou. Seems super unlikely. I think the rangers, predators, knights, stars/jets all would have interest. Probably handfuls more.
