Time to extend Tuch this summer "If" he wants to stay.

5 blocked shots away from the NHL season record for a forward

Leads league in steals

Leads league in SHG (6)

*Info per Pham wgr

At 28/29 what is the max years/money you offer ?

He may want to move on to playoff team and more tax/weather friendly location for his new family/future ?

Would likely be a fairly substantial return if moved.

I will say this. If its gotten so bad you can't convince someone with local ties who grew up a Sabres fan to stay here, then its time to pack up the team and move.

Money wise, probably looking at the Guentzel contract, 7 years, 63M-ish.

Give him the bag. This next season is crucial now. Cap won't change until after next season if he extends. This is the expensive Skinner year right?

I don't think one's individual decision in those circumstances are indicative of the state of the franchise one way or the other. But I do feel if he is open to staying and we are a serious team we will give him a very enticing contract such as the one you mention.

I'm expecting him to be traded, he'll want to sign somewhere competitive and for a lot of money. He's been way underpaid his entire career.

Can't wait for that amazing haul that bumbling oaf Kevyn Milbury is gonna net: a late first round pick and a C level prospect with us giving back our next two 3rd round selections as a sweetener.

If next season falls apart I can see it, he has a family now as well and likely wants to get to a warmer/tax free state like Florida for ie.

If I'm tuch I'm not signing a long term deal this off season unless the money is bonkers. Wait see how the team is and see if you even want to re sign

Alex Tuch set a nhl record for most blocked shots (111) by a forward in a season tonight.

Tuch is the only NHL player with 35 goals and 100 blocked shots in a single season since the league started tracking the latter statistic in 2005-06. nhl.com
