I hope this isn't a distraction.

That may be mentioned to them by Berube. Whatever they do they can't make this into a distraction. Alex needs to prove himself and perform and earn a spot if he wants it, and I hope he does. I am all for some miracle taking place and they perform like the Sedins eventually.

Not holding my breath but I hope it works out.

He's a journeyman that nobody wanted, even saying Sedins is preposterous. He's only up because we're decimated with injuries now, my expectations are "anything is a bonus". Hopefully the adrenaline gives him a short term boost and it helps the team, but long term I don't see him in the mix at all.

Who can’t he play over?

Im just saying here's a guy nobody wanted and suddenly we're pencilling him as a given. When everyone is healthy, he will have a tough time sticking unless he shows well. He needs to play high in the lineup too. It's all gravy with that guy for me, expected nothing when we signed him and his contract is a reflection of desperation really.

Halifax
I thought he had broken out last year and assumed the CBJ’s would have resigned him. He scored at a 20g pace albeit with an inflated shooting percentage. I was surprised to see him go.

Likely he’s an AHL journeyman but hopefully he makes the best of this shot and winds up on waivers to a team with room for him to play in the NHL.

I hope this isn't a distraction.

I don’t think it will be, they aren’t on the same line and if you watch the blueprint video. These guys are pros. They’ve been in rinks their entire lives. Nothing is going to change. It’s just something they’ve both wanted to do, they’ve wanted to play together in the NHL on the same team. I expect it to provide energy. Greb - Minten - Nylander has been one of the best lines in the AHL. I expect them to have another great night tonight.

I don’t think steeves is waiver exempt either

He isn't... but once you clear waivers (which he did at the beginning of the season) -- there is a limited amount of time you can be recalled for, without having to clear waivers again.

I believe it's either they play less than 10 games, or are on the roster for less than 30 days.

It happened. Doesn't mean anything if the guy doesn't perform. No idea why you have such a hard-on for Nylander.

I hope he proves us wrong but his past results don't exactly predict a fruitful future.
I actually don’t I just know he can play hoccey and we have worst players on our roster that are paid more simple math for me were you the guy?😭😭

If they are worse, then why has Nylander had less success at the NHL level? Why did he lose out a spot in preseason hockey?

Maybe try using some good punctuation and grammar as I can't understand your last statement there.

Without including the rookies, every player in the bottom six have had longer careers than Nylander. Some of them even better production.

If Nylander was any good, he would have had more success by now.

How was I disrespectful? I was asking for better grammar and punctuation as I could not understand this statement: Your opinion your commenting with me and he’s playing

I am sorry you took offense to my request but when communicating with others through text, proper sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation are important so that your message can be understood.

Talking in person would be different, you'd probably come across alot clearer or at least I hope. Asking for someone to write better or speak correctly isn't disrespectful or "tough" as you say.

Longer career I just told you he’s better than some of the players in our regular line up you switch the convo to careers?

You realize that is the same thing?

As of today, there is a reason players like Kampf, Reaves, Lorentz etc are in the lineup and have had good and lengthy careers. If Nylander was any good he would have managed to stick in the NHL by now instead of bouncing around so often. Maybe he become a Verhaeghe but it is unlikely.

I'm done responding if you don't want to use proper punctuation. Good luck in life.

Alex wasn't terrible. He wasn't good either but he may shake the jitters and be OK. I don't like his lack of attack out there.
