with a 2nd pick yes.
cut there losses and get a 2nd line winger
He's a 3rd liner, without size, only so much hockey sense, and who can't protect the puck on the cycle I don't think we get a good second liner with a 2nd for Newhook.

I'd try him at c in the bottom 6. He did well last year with Armia and Roy or Gallagher.

Montreal
Suzuki's best shift last night happened to be when he replaced Evans who had just finished killing a penalty.
Newhook/Suzuki/Slaf is something I would have already tried by now.

Worth a try:

Newhook Suzuki Slaf
Caufield Dach Dvo/Evan's
Gallagher Dvo/Evans Anderson

I still think Newhook is a better center than Dvo. So I would put Dvo on the wing and Newhook at C. And I'm not sure Dach is ready to go back to C. Newhook really brings his value down on the wing by not being able to win puck battles or protect the puck on the wall.

23 goals…and 0 assists.
He's trying to be Caufield.

CC's lack of assists is super weird too. He's made a lot of nice passes. Similar to Hutson not being able to get a goal yet.

Okay but you can’t say he’s showing you exactly what you think he is, a 50 point player, when he’s currently on pace for less than half of that.
The whole teams sucks now. His ceiling isn't 23 goals and 0 assists. Totally agree with everyone that he's played like ass for most of the year. But who hasn't?
