Value of: Alex Laferriere

I could see him turning into a Brandon Hagel level when he was on the Hawks. Not there just yet but trending that way.

I’d maybe look at that trade as the upper upper end of what he could get next year if he pots 60 points, with the caveat that Tampa has not seen much value in their draft picks for some time now.

He's finally breaking out. The Rangers aren't going to trade him now.

I'm going to just keep doing this in Laferriere threads to amuse myself.
The Rangers need to get him and Bedard so they can finally reunite the half brother Laferrierenieres and Bedararads.

Not surprising that he's taken a step back in production. The whole team has. He showed some instances last year where he could be more than a complimentary piece. Years from now, I'm not sure he's more than a complimentary piece.

Hagel was mentioned earlier. Hagel was making $1.5 million when traded. He had another year at $1.5 million as well. We're taking, again, about Lafreniere's value when he's signed to a contract that will pay him $7.45 million per starting next year. It's that next deal that's going to reduce his value.

Hagel and two 4th round picks Taylor Raddysh (who they let walk), Katchouk (claimed by Sens and in the minors), a conditional first (they used on Moore), and a first (Boisvert). Tampa was throwing capital around left and right while in win-now mode. It cost them two scrubs, a conditional first, and another first for a player with significant cost control. For any sort of comparable, a trade of Lafreniere would have had to have happened before his next deal was signed.

Who's in win-now mode that can swallow the pending cap hit of Lafreniere?

Ok, who's gonna tell him?

I wasn't asking that.

It's a Value of: thread.
I predict the entertainment value to be quite high.

It would be the perfect send off for Sam Rosen.

We need to start aquiring all names that are the same and/or rhyme. If the Rangers could aquire:
JT Miller and Colin Miller to play with K'andre Miller
Laferriere, to play with Lafreniere
Seider, to pair with Schnieder and get the puck to Kreider
Will Smith, Craig Smith, Brendan Smith, Cole Smith, to play the all-Smith's line with Riley Smith
Seth Jones, Caleb Jones, who might be scratched when they wanted to play Zac Jones
Sam Girard, Connor Bedard, who would be a great center for Berard
Kent , Erik, and Jack Johnson, ( I want to see a goal, brought to you by Johnson and Johnson)
Adrian Kempe, to put on a line with Rempe
Kaiden Guhle, Logan Cooley, to play with WIll Cuyyle
and Ivan Ivan just for fun.

Poor Sam.

Reminds me of an international competition I saw where I think it was the South Koreans had a roster where every player was named Kim, Park, or Lee. Announcer PTSD game.

He had one value in the first 20 games and another value in the last 20 games IMO.

I think we all knew this was going to happen lol.

Future OPs need to add (LA) or (NYR)...or maybe not because this was fun too!

His production has fallen off because hes been stapled to Danault and Fiala who have both been having a bad year. No one has played outstanding or had great production next to those two.
He started the year on the top line and 1st powerplay unit and produced. Then him and Turcotte had the best line together for a little stretch but Hiller had to move guys around to at least have 3 competent lines.
Laferriere would look great next to a superstar because he thinks the game well whereas some jack of all trades utility players sometimes cant play on a top line with star players and spend their career on a 3rd line.
