  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.

I don't know much about apple but depending on the price point just get the latest model when it drops. I don't know when these pod 3 or whatever drop but if you can wait fine.

Assuming they're also noise cancelling. Noise cancelling earbuds are a game changer. I don't have the airpods but I do have a pair of 100 dollar ones @mattihp recommended. They are solid.

Problem is I can’t really wait because I need headphones for online class and my current ones are starting to become unusable

Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra’s are usually on sale I like those better. Not ear pods but will work the same with blue tooth

You dont need high end headphones for clear speech.

I’d buy a pair of dirt cheap headphones to hold you over in class till the Airpod Pro Gen 3s are officially announced/released.

Then determine based on specs or reviews if the upgrade is worth it to you. If its not, the release of the Gen 3s will drive down the price of the Gen 2s and you’ll save yourself some money.
