There's no tactical reason why Aho would want to go past Fox while the play is behind the Carolina net. Fox had him beat. Aho panicked and interfered.

Fox was in a weird posture right before the collision. It looked almost as if he was about to hit Aho. I'd like to see the other angle on that. The video in the tweet or the MSG broadcast itself cut off that movement. Aho bracing for contact and not being able to adjust as Fox bails would explain things.

This isnt kneeing. Not enough time for Aho to get out of the way, he was bracing. Fox's posture was weird. Unfortunate.

Aho didn't even have time to think about sticking out the knee, it's more like Fox skated toward him so quick and Aho kinda braced himself in whatever position he was already in.

As a Rangers fan, it's unfortunate and I am praying he's ok obviously. But I don't see anything egregious here.

Seems like Aho thought they'd collide body against body but then Fox tried to pull away from it and injured himself in the process.
