I haven’t found a news release but it looks like they purchased the contract of one of the statistical top ECHL guys who isn’t signed by a Nhl team. 27 year old Raleigh native Billy Christopoulos. He did not have a good year at all in the AHL last season with a 6 GAA. Doing much better in the ECHL with a 2.22. He just won ECHL goalie of the month with a 1.97 GAA run in December.

Utica has played 4 less games but Chicago moves into first on points percentage with .800, Utica has .788.
Warsovsky said Mattheos is the most improved player on the team this season. Also complimented Keane on his play over the last half of the season.

That's an interesting comment on Mattheos given an extreme lack of scoring production. Must be doing a hell of a job on the little things. I haven't been able to watch as much this year as I did last year.

He did miss basically 2 seasons of hockey (25 GP) due to cancer and injury, so just getting back into the game probably took a lot of work for him

Wells is healthy and called up to wChicago. With Lyon and Wells there, Manella and Lackey were released from their PTO. Maybe they didn’t see what they wanted to keep Manella around. He had a .955 sv percentage.

Chicago used a big 4 goal 2nd period to win today’s matinee, 5-3. Lyon only faced 18 shots. All veteran scoring minus 1 assist from Drury.
