7) 2-0 going to Florida? You can't ask for more. Focus on getting one there. Gonna be real tough, but coming home up 3-1 would be massive. This team looks up for it.

I have to ask, after watching the entire season, the first round, the first two games of this round...why do people think it will be so tough to win in Florida? Has there not been enough evidence that the Panthers are out of steam? Bob is the non-factor I said he would be, and Tkachuk can barely skate. They had a great run, but they are done.

God I hate American broadcasts that put the player's name above them on power plays. It is almost as bad as the glowing puck.

It’s actually a good enhancement to the broadcast. Although ESPN needs a lot of improvement, their broadcast is much better than Sportsnet , IMO. TNT, which is a carry over from NBC, is still the best in terms of sound and quality. Their between period panels are head and shoulders above anything else.

I would be surprised if they didn’t win one in Florida. There’s no pressure and they know the formula and Bob is letting in a couple of bad goals er game.

I do expect Maurice to put Barkov’s line against Tavares and Nylander to try and stop them from scoring and maybe take advantage of their defensive weaknesses.

The 4N may have amped up Tkachuk a bit too much and the Panthers are now paying the price. Conversely, it gave Marner confidence and the Leafs are benefactors.

I’m really impresssed by Holmberg. He is playing like a playoff warrior. He gets hit, gets back up. Battles for every puck. I just don’t think he’s suited for a second line, but for a third or fourth line, he’s been good.

Not to be overlooked is the quiet significance of having 2 time Stanley cup winner and veteran goalie Matt Murray on the bench in support of Woll.

I can only imagine how much of a settling factor his presence would have in Woll, particularly coming into the circumstances that he came into.

I think his veteran presence isn’t something that you can ignore, and if your 3rd string goalie is a 30 year old 2 time Stanley Cup champion, I think that’s about as good as it gets if you are down to your 3rd string goalie.

Foot soldiers are stepping up this year in support but Willie and Patches are da' men up front and the D and G are doing what they have all year. Surprised they are up 2-0 but they look like serious contenders.

Brad and Chief passing all the tests Dubas and Keefe failed to.

In terms of matchups, Matthews is already out there a lot against Barkov so that doesn't likely change. Otherwise it's just the home crowd advantage and a nicer dressing room.

The real issue will be the Panthers are now in must-win mode so they will be highly motivated. But if the Leafs keep up this play it won't matter.

As long as they keep creating scoring chances on the rush, locking down in their own end, winning puck battles and staying disciplined, where they are playing is irrelevant.

McMann may be the biggest disappointment. Jarnkrok produces nothing but he works hard.

Matthews, Marner and Tavares need to hit the score sheet more often. Tavares now 4 straight games without a point while his linemates are tearing it up.

I was wrong on the Tanev signing. I thought he’d be too old when they were ready to win, but with Berube’s style he’s exactly what they needed. Carlo is huge piece back there, as well, but Tanev settles everything down and sets the tone.

Still wondering how a player who is pasted, face first, into the boards from behind gets an embellishment penalty. Of course it is the NHL and the refs do not need to answer for their actions so we will never know. Pee-wee referring at best last night. Not much better game #1.

Game 3 is going to be wild! If the Leafs can somehow pull one out on Friday this series is basically over. I’m expecting a full court press all game from Florida.
