I have never changed anything I have said. If the Leafs play any team other Vegas in the Cup final, the Leafs are winning the Cup. If they play Vegas, I think that might be a problem.

Pretty obvious Matthews has been injured all season.

When's the last time he has truly unloaded his patented quick release shot? Most of his goals this season have been different, one from another. I like the variety but it's obvious he's nursing something affecting his shot... even his accuracy.

If Matthews decides he needs to step up, it will probably cost him a ton of recovery time.

He gets a pass from me, as long as he's winning faceoffs and defending well. His offensive contributions can go through Marner and Knies for all I care.

I still think they have more to give, but it must suck playing against that line.



"Everyone" does not mean every single person in this situation, just a lot of people, especially from the GDT, there is a lot of hate for Marner and Matthews.

They are likely playing the best defensive line in the league and winning 3-0 right now, it is not an easy task and they may look terrible at times.
