It really won't be "era-defining". It's just another step in a what was always going to be the outcome this season. The leafs will win on Sunday because they are the better team, with the better coach, and the better goalie. For all of those same reasons, they will beat Carolina in the conference final.

If the Leafs lose the “Core Four” as a group are done. If they win the likelihood they all come back skyrockets. The era either ends in another failure or finally has a modicum of rea success.
