If it gets to me, skip me. I just need a goalie and I'm still trying to decide who I want to take a chance on. Will pick sometime Saturday. Great job by the way everyone. This draft has moved.
 
We are done! I will pick my goalie later tonight after I do some research. Thanks for being fast guys.

I'm thinking Husso, Comrie, Johannsson(sp) or maybe the Swiss goalie.

That's basically the only goalies available haha. You only get the clocked time from when your pick started before timing out! We don't get any more time to pick then that to research our picks! ;) after that then we pick your goalie by consensus :p

Alright. This is how we are going to do this.

Im going to give Emerz his two replacements right now as we dont want him to get several days to see all these players play live to get an advantage. Now if someone else gets cut/hurt before the tournament starts AND they were before Emerz pick, then that person can take Emerz selection if they want the same person and Emerz will have to pick someone else.

If one of your players gets cut or hurt then please say something. And I will tell you when to pick.

Sounds fair. Can we take his Eichel pick, though? :laugh:
 
That's a pretty weird way to do it IMO, I usually just do the replacement draft and once that's over anyone else being cut has to pick someone else, first come first serve.

Feels weird for him to be able to pick someone an ten have them stolen, like he would be pointing out who he thought te beat available player was so ten the other person could say oh this is who he thought was the best so I'll trust his judgement and take him, he would potentially be screwing himself out of who he wants by saying who it is

Yeah, that does sound a little predatory, now that you mention it.
 
Nick Paul and Brayden Point from Canada would be my 2 replacements picks.

Up to Aftermath if he wants to change the replacement policy.
 
Well if we do a replacement draft then it's not like they really get one of the players they want. Say I take EICHEL(just a random player) first and I don't end up using him because none of my players are cut. Emery never gets to use him then, and no one uses him.


What do you guys think we should do?
 
I don't really see the harm in letting Emerz take his two guys now and every time someone gets cut or hurt before it starts will just make a pick. Kind of first cut/injured first served...

've read this post 5 times and still can't make sense of it. You can't take Eichel, he was already drafted, and yes Emerz gets to use him since he took him 2nd overall.

What I do is once the draft is complete(now) you look at all the picks who were cut(only his 2 picks), order them in order of the draft(doesn't matter, both his players), that draft takes place(as he picked above), then any subsequent picks cut(say Tkachyov gets cut from Russia) gets to pick immediately, first comes first serve from the remaining players, so in my Tkachyov example I would have to pick from someone not picked in the 10 round draft, nor from the 2 guys Emerz picked in the replacement draft.

That's how I'm doing it in my draft. I pick to replace Dal Colle, then Lehner gets to pick to replace Erne, then sjci to replace Fleury, and any other players that get cut afterwards can replace whenever, first come first serve, from the players not yet taken.

I don't really see another fair way to do it. Either you wait until Christmas day for the official rosters and hold the replacement draft then, or your way where players get to steal other's replacement picks which is just dumb imo.

What I thought you were saying is to have a replacement draft where everyone picks just in case one of their players gets cut. Sorry, I couldn't really understand your post either lol.

And that's why I thought it was kind of messed up because say I take a player(I said Eichel just as a random player), but none of my guys get cut. So that player doesn't get used. Even though Emerz wanted that player and would have used him.


But you weren't saying everyone drafts.


So we will do it first cut, first draft.

So Emerz gers Paul and Point. If one of your players gets cut, please post in here who you want ASAP.
